Don't know if you're still updating this, but I've found a few more projects that you could add:

Gimp accepts Bitcoin donations: https://www.gimp.org/

VLC accepts crypto donations, but you have to go to their donations page, not use the donation link on their home page: https://www.videolan.org/contribute.html#money

Libreoffice accepts Bitcoin: https://nl.libreoffice.org/donate/

You can probably find a bunch more open source projects that accept donations in cryptocurrency.

$274 million in 24 hours! This is something very nice and i would like to participate when it happens. I believe that it should be arround when the bull market is on. That time many people would donate the charity. In cryptocurrency market billions of dollars trading and collecting money for charity would very easy. Also the best and biggest non profit organizations joined this campaign and it is great as well.

Dear Bitcoin community, in 20 days there will be the Giving Tuesday (27th November), an international event that incentivizes people to donate online to non profits. This initiative is growing year by year and in 2017 it hit an amazing record: $274 million donated to charities in 24 hours.

But what if that day I will want to donate bitcoin to charities? Nowadays it is very difficult to find a global database with all of the information and Wikipedia or BitcoinForCharity are not updated.
It is for this reason that I am launching Crypto Giving Tuesday (https://cryptogivingtuesday.org/), where you can find the list of charities that accept at least one crypto, the direct link to their donation page and more info about the supported currencies. At the moment I've listed 39 charities and 8 crypto donation platforms, but I will work for increasing the database and if you know more organizations feel free to comment this post.

Now the most asked question:
Why donate bitcoin?

Here there are people that use Bitcoin and cryptos as a method of payment, others as a store of value. Doesn't matter what is your vision about this ecosystem: we should all support every initiative for social good, donating even just few satoshi. First of all, we can help directly social causes; show a positive use of cryptos and increase the mass awareness; encourage NGOs to be closer to this ecosystem. Charity sector could be our partner to bring cryptos in everyday life.
