Open electrum choose a server and click on console, you will see the message of the server runner with a btc address you can send donations to.

Thanks, I see it. It's the "console" tab. I could not find "console" from the menu  Cheesy

This question has been asked before and ThomasV has said that you should donate to the electrum servers instead.

Then how do we donate to the servers? We see a list of servers but we don't know who operates them.

Someone could start and org that takes donations and uses the funds to run electrum servers.
I see where the program gives me a way to donate to costs of the server I'm connected to.  That's cool.  I'll do that for the meantime.

I wonder if the revenue from TrustedCoin (Electrum 2.x's optional two factor authentication partner) will be shared with the devs. I sincerely hope so.

I have looked as well without seeing anything.  My guess is that the developers are:
1) Long on bitcoin in general (and have some from the old cheap days)
2) Professionals outside of bitcoin open source and have real jobs

So they are probably doing fine and not asking for anything.  The hosting costs are probably pretty minimal.  That is just my guess.

The best person to ask is ThomasV, one of the developers:

Is there a way one can make a donation to the development team of this software?  I don't know.  Maybe they're fully sponsored by some means.  I've not found any information about their financials.

But after considerable research -- and using another software wallet I grew not entirely happy with -- I've started using Electrum ... and I'd like to give back some to the developers, if there's a way.
