Yeah, but a little more can never hurt. Maybe it can be used for good or investing in the future.

What about making ranking system for donators, what if I like this community and I feel like I want to donate but I don't have 1 BTC even to donate ?

Wouldn't this be fair ? and the extra money could be sent for charities for example.

You can still donate above, you just won't get a rank. I think theymos (or maybe someone else) suggested different smaller ranks could/maybe added, but just donating for a title seems kind of silly and unnecessary.

Thanks.

But not only for rank, but maybe some privileges or something.

Don't forget you have teens here, who can donate and will be attracted by ranks and such.

Currently, you can donate 10 BTC (~ $6,000) to become a "Donator." You can donate 50 BTC (~ $31,000) to become "VIP." I'm not opposed to supporting something that I use free of charge, but wow. How many new Donators/VIP members have emerged since BTC's value surged? And when were those amounts decided?

I believe I read a post that the forum doesn't need donations any more, so theymos probably won't change the setting trying to get more donations.

Been a lot of threads about this but that was when BTC was at a fraction of the price it is today. Would not be fair to those donators if the donation price were to be adjusted and the site doesnt need the funds anyway.

Eh, if they don't need it then I guess it doesn't matter. Thanks

they are not going to reduce the donations amount they have said this a few times to prevent existing donators for requesting money back or getting upset.
