They are getting off their ass and doing something about leaving the world in a better condition than they found it. Personally I do it because we occupy Afghanistan and Iraq and the Aussie government locks refugees in concentration camps. Theres also the fact we are testing the laws about the right to protest itself here.

I am also spreading the word about bitcoin simply by using a cardboard sign with bitcoin written on it. The chance to chat about it to people in person and the fact they are receptive is a big deal.

Anyone who donates can send me some flyers as well and I will hand them out.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrRZBVqioeU the police came in the the other week and cleaned out the camp. They took away 17 trucks full of equipment which included a library and a kitchen. This had also been used to feed the homeless in Melbourne and now its all gone. I went to occupy a week after the eviction happened and we got evicted from the State Library as well.

Occupy Melbourne is now at Treasury Gardens where the "Lord Mayor" has banned tents and protest signs which he claims are "advertising". The OM group is currently spread into two camps with one being the kitchen and the other the occupation. This means they need a way to communicate easily such as radios/walkie talkies. They are running low on funding to buy such things so that's why Im here asking if anyone wants to donate to the cause.

Im not asking for something I wouldnt do myself so I will chuck in 10 btc to start.
