Just wait until it downloads it again. Should be fine.
That was my solution as well... BUT as i have noticed, the re-downloading is adding (again) massive data to C: . I already have a 21gb big blockchain data there and only 4gb left of free space. This won't go far. Undecided

My second solution would be to save the wallet.bin file and then erase everything and re-install a new client. But this will take days - so i wait, maybe somebody has a better solution...?

EDIT: It's done - solution found!

I have Windows 7 and i’m using the bitcoin-qt client v0.8.6-beta.

Last night i tried to open up the client / entering my wallet – but there was a message that said i had some issues with the blockchain. Which is weird, i never had a problem before so i closed it and reopened the client…

And suddenly the blockchain started to download it self from the very beginning (!) backlog of like 260 weeks. But the old (and already downloaded) blockchain is still on my pc – so why dosen’t the client recognise it?

The bitcoins are still inside the wallet – or at least it shows them.

Please help…
