I don't see why uncle rewards cant just be distributed in the same manner as normal rewards.

Ethpool came about when people grew tired of the overly complicated and obscure payout lottery implemented by the parent pool ethermine.org.

It was pretty clear to me from the start that any admin using this system is not someone I would trust with any major hash power.

If they distributed uncle blocks exactly as they do with "normal blocks" they could not steal without being easily noticed, using this other reward method, they may claim that their wallets addresses are luckier than the pool users, so they can get all the uncle blocks for them (1030 ETH +- stolen in the last month).

Somewhat simplified now though? Weekly if over .10 I believe...

Thanks for the heads up.  I've been mining on Nanopool with 6.0GH/s and have been thinking about solo mining options.  ETHPOOL looked like a serious option.  Now I won't waste my hash power there.

https://ethpool.org/miners/241df8b90b050cab32e265ca24075f42065802aa/blocks

This account received 3 uncles in less than 24 hours, very lucky or... Undecided

I also noticed that some addresses earn "T credits" quickly inexplicably, even with very low hashrate in a few days are already at the top of the list able to get a new block.

Sad to see a pool of this size acting that way.

The main account 0x7dE44b1F1527486a16FF586eF301B6b62dA6aC11(is not mining) has several deposits from "miners"  (approx 38 addresses)

90 ETH for 177t of credits, that a good deal

~Full-Time Minter since 2016~
Is there any new about how they are paying uncles? Anyone got an answer?
I've been a miner there for a long time and I feel cheated.
Thank you for the information.

me too man, mined there for several months now, and im a small miner, so it takes a while to get a payout, i was really hoping id score an uncle in the months :/  they should have a round robin with minunum "T" balance, everyone who mines there EVENTUALLY gets one that way, then gets put at the back of the line again for the next uncle

they replied 20 hours ago with
"Thank you for reaching out to us, I'm escalating this to my admin team to be investigated for any problems. We will update you shortly. "

I don’t understand why with 15ghs you don’t just solo mine.  In my experience that always fairs better than putting trust in these pools. This system was all based on trust less yet we all still point our rigs at a pool. Silly us!  Things would start going our way if we just followed the simple rules set forth by btc long ago.  Instead we always think we know best and in the end we prolly will fuck up a good thing here too.  Anyway this pool is definitely got a scam rolling.  They have to be aware. And if they aren’t do you really want them as your pool OP!   Time to learn how to solo mine and then you have nothing to worry about.  Have confidence in yourself that you can figure it out.  Trust me the more effort you put in the more rewards you will see

BR

Yeah, u are right, the best way is to solo mining with my own server, i was using the Ethpool because I thought the reward would be the same as solo mining.

I'm testing a vpn server right now (i have rigs in different places), i need to learn more about it noob here  Grin

I did some tests and managed to use 4 ethminer running at the same time with 1 card. 1 rig with 12 gpu can get 48 active miners able to pick up uncles  Cry

This random distribution of uncles is not fair, i agree with u, they need implement a minimum 'T" balance or something like that to stopping this fucking guy who created 7500 miners at 5mh/s.

Let's see what Ethpool will tell you.

How could you do that?  Huh

How do uncles work on this pool? Is it like a miner (single eth deposit address) with 5mhs has the same chance to get x uncles per day as a miner with 5ghs has to get x uncles per day?

Any uncles found by the pool will be awarded to a random active miner, that's why they put thousands of miners working at 5mh/s or less, miner with 5gh/s has the same chance to get uncles per day as a miner with 1 mh/s  Cry

its funny you mention that, as i noticed it myself over the last few days Sad

i sent them an email a few hours ago, asking them to consider this an exploit and maybe to implement a minimum 'T" balance
these "miners" never expect to get paid, they are only getting massive uncles
some get one every 10 days with 5mh/s :O

either they are rewarding themselves or really dont care about fairness, i wonder what their reply to me will be : /
