Updated thread with a new second time scam attempt where scammers demanding money for recover scammed amount. It was good thing that victim made a thread on the forum to ask if it's really another scam attempt. I will prefer to read above story to all newbies to avoid second time scam. We have to remember always bitcoin isn't reversible so any third party organisation won't help you to recover your funds from scammers. Just we may avoid lots of scams if we could use our common sense.

If you stupid enough to believe there is some magical way to recover lost things. Not t even money just anything lost then they talking crap. Maybe they can find my t dry hear a lost as a small child. The chances are about the same. If you fall for this you are ridiculously idiotic and get what you deserve. Clearly not learning the first time around. I understand people falling for advanced scams not knowing any better but this is just ridiculous.

I am not surprised that scam methods like the one mentioned in OP exist. Any such service asking for money in advance is shady to say the least.
Their are legit Bitcoin recovery services that take a certain % of the recovered funds and that is OK. It is better to recover a part of your lost funds than to lose it all. But payment for such services should not be sent in advance because there are no guarantees the funds will get recovered.

Numerous people become a victim of scam without knowing behind the truth. This is a reminder and also an awareness to us to never trust a certain people offering a huge return of profit and assuring that in a short span of time your money will grow. To avoid such scam let's do our part to be responsible for our own action and do such thing like research before we invest in crypto.
You can read about various scams in the section "Scam Accusations". And if you regularly visit this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0, you will know about various types of fraud. All types of fraud that exist in the real world are transferred to the virtual world, including cryptocurrency.

It should be the reason why we should refrain ourselves on trusting and believing something without even researching any information and details about it because we don't know people's true intention. We don't know their perception when it comes to money and there is a huge possibility that they are just trying to take advantage of that opportunity to deceive you, they will convince you by their words and promises which is completely full of foolishness. Sometimes we're also the reason why we are ending up feeling remorse regarding our own decisions and actions because we are not thinking about the possible outcomes, people these days are willing to do anything for the sake of money that's why we have to be cautious. We should acquire from our own experiences because it will serve as guide on making a wiser and better decision for ourselves.

Occasionally I have seen some people got scam multiple times. There is some fund recovery website and users who will promise you to get back your scammed fund. Had you heard about such as platform previously? If not then you may notice from this thread. It's just an example and there is more such as platform, they would give you fake promises.

Just remind you again, always keep in mind that "crypto-currency is irreversible" any organisations can't help you to get back your fund. If you were scammed from gambling or whatever sites, just share with community so everyone would able to avoid. But don't hire so called fund recovery services to get back your scammed amount. They will demand a percentage of scammed amount. If in case you paid then most likely you got second scam.

Suddenly its came in to my mind and wonder to share with community. Since most of newbies are not aware about such as scam that's why chosen this board. I believe everyone got my point. There is few accusation about such as scam (can't remember now). So guys please be aware from such as offer.

If you know the basics of Cryptocurrency and how scammers work, you will not fall into this kind of scheme, awareness, and education are the two tools that one must have to advance here in Cryptocurrency if you don't have these two you are in trouble.
Scammers have many ways to scam people, and they are always innovating.

In reference to cryptocurrency scams, I recommend to check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83JnxuUUJ5o&feature=emb_title. It's a small Grant Blaisdell and Alex Strzesniewski talk about different scams and prevention in this industry. Could be helpful if you want to know more about cryptocurrency scams.

Once your funds are scammed over websites, that's gone and they've kept it, so even if someone promises you to get back your coins, ask them what steps are they going to take and they'll just say - "We can't let you know about it or you'll just DIY and we won't get our commission". Most of them who offer such services will ask you for advance payment and even ask for more in the name of more research and police case and what not (they're like lawyers who just charge you again and again till they eat you completely) and in the end, you get nothing.

...People who have been fooled will most likely just want to get their money back, and that is why they will try some of the methods offered by people without further review...
Such scam schemes exist not only in the cryptocurrency. And these schemes came here from the real world, where they help to recover lost money. And people try to use their chance to return the money, but they do not understand how cryptocurrency differs from Fiat money.

Various offers like these can be seen on email,
There is an option called Gmail Promotion where different organizations send similar fund recovery offers.
I don't know how they get everyone's email address.
It probably comes from some sources who have some list of email addresses from other people like if you are here before around bull run 2017-2018, tons of airdrops with some shitcoins, to participate there you just need to fill up some forms or sign up in just websites and your in.
Thru that for sure they already have your email addresses, most of those email for sure are related to cryptocurrency since it is coming from here, that's very alarming before, different airdrops popping and for sure some of them are just farming email addresses and sell or use it to some illegal things.
Or it's probably a random email address and they will send their e-mail to those random addresses they generated.

Im not really that too rude when it comes to these kind of mistakes.Even if you wont able to read up some advise and
with just your own common sense or even having a basic knowledge about Crypto irreversible transactions then you would
really think off directly that these kind of services are total BS or 101% scam.

Being too desperate would really put us to more harm but well,we do learn up from our mistakes where it might happen once but there wont be a second one if we do talk on similar scam and since there were lots of type or modus then you cant tell that you wont be victimized. OP thanks for that helpful reminder for noobs out there.

Yes, You are right. Email Promotion is the best way to promote this scam service  Smiley because scammers always finding better and easy way to make people fool. We should be aware of it. Since this type of email comes to spam folder so we should not open the spam folder/In any case, it is not right to believe them.

wow! I am amazed there are lots of fund recovery services showing on google search. But I don't know all of the services is fake or not but I am guessing most are a scam.

The bottom line is simply these kinds of "fund recovery" services feed on your fear and desperation. What Coolcryptovator is right where they will give you false promises as these is what makes you convince yourself that you need their help to recover your funds but the truth is they are just here to steal your money sometimes it is on multiple occasions as they will ask and ask for more giving you updates and developments that are not even real but they are just saying for you to keep paying.

Probably the only way not to ever get scammed is to not send anything to anybody Tongue
LOL, I think this is the best solution so far. Not sending anything to others and will not occur scammed.  Cheesy
Someone will commit a crime not only because of intention, but also because of opportunity. When emotional situations change after the first scammed, the opportunity to reach the second may open. Scammers will spy on them because the opportunities, so I think whatever happens then emotions must always be controlled.

If you were scammed from gambling or whatever sites, just share with community so everyone would able to avoid. But don't hire so called fund recovery services to get back your scammed amount. Well, most of the scammers first start by claiming they will take payment only if they successfully recover the funds, so you are all happy and say that nothing wrong can happen. But, as our red painted game-protect did, after a few emails they will start with an excuse that they need some $ to cover some legal fees or whatever and they will promise you will get them back if the recovery process fails ...and then when you paid ...silence!

One thing, as when I read the title about second scam and recovery I first thought of recovering coins from wallets.
That thing has to lead to some other scams when people who are having problems with their wallets or transactions have been receiving pm with "help" from guys that simply require they're privkey to solve the problem.
Probably the only way not to ever get scammed is to not send anything to anybody Tongue

Just to clarify, most of these services won't promise to reverse transactions; most offer their services to track down the scammer and go after them with legal remedies. It must also be noted that there actually are legitimate entities that offer this kind of service like Ciphertrace, so it's not like people should be avoiding it like the plague.

Ciphertrace will only be able to probably identify the receiver of the funds and testify in court for the validity of the transaction.
They will not assist you in the legal process more than that so in case o gambling site that doesn't deny you have deposited those funds, their service would be useless.
And I don't even want to know what fees they might charge....

Unless you've lost something that is way above 50k, I doubt it will be worth.

First time, shame on me.
Second time, what?!?!
Third time, shame on me.
And continues, it's hard, it's very hard to find a trustworthy person to have a good relation over time, your best friend can cheat you at any given moment.
There is nothing you can do, just try to get close to people that will not cheat you; and that will cost you a lot.

Scammers are very prevalent nowadays and we cannot deny that their skills and ways are improving. It can be considered as another strategy by the scammers to make those clueless investors bite into their trap without knowing that after being scammed, they will get scammed once again leading to bigger loss of money. As soon as you get to experience such things, make sure that if you will look forward on recovering your money, you will be much more careful and make sure that it is very safe before trusting anyone.

It will hurt your pocket and your heart if you've been scammed the second time, the first time that you've been scammed is a warning to you, that you should do diligent research on where you are putting your money, people who have experienced getting scammed successively will lose their motivation to invest, it's a wild jungle if you don't know the way around.

Either way, asset recovery services shouldn't be able to offer any guarantees, so be especially wary of those. Just make sure you do your due diligence in finding a legitimate service, but then again if you were already doing that in the first place, you probably won't get scammed.

When they can take or recover the lost and scammed amount then why they should demand a money from the victim, little bit of common sense would save us from double scam but with the frustration of losing some money we maybe lost our mind to be honest but fortunately I have never been in that situation.

Feeling sorry for the victims and they should realize that once they were scammed, they will never get back the money that was scammed to them. A scammer is a thief and it will never send back the funds that they have stolen from the people.

These scammed fund recovery websites that are focusing to target the people who were already scammed have no heart, they are giving false promise to the victims and using their weakness of giving hope for nothing with a payment.

Thank you for the reminder op.

I remember before when we have our school activity and we are required to do some tech talks about different technologies and my topic was Why Bitcoin transactions are irreversible?
I was clearly explained about this on my classmates and teacher, especially when you got scammed or you sent your bitcoin to a wrong address and how can they be aware.
Well, thanks for this, hope everyone will learn and know about this.

Sometimes, even a person is aware of that type of scheme, they will still consider using that kind of service especially if they are really desperate to get back what loss on a particular platform. Once they see that the people behind that service is somehow good in terms of introducing the company's system and explaining the supposed ways of recovering the funds (that might sound legit), that's the start now of falling on the trap.

For newbies, be vigilant as always. That type of scheme might be new into their vocabulary but at least they should know how to deal with everything they see on the internet.

For experienced users, learn from past mistakes and use "common sense".

It seems to me that not many people were deceived in this way. After all, most people who begin to be interested in cryptocurrency (even beginners) first study this area. And I mean that those who commit some kind of nonsense - usually do not stay in crypto for a long time. Therefore, in my opinion, the only right decision is to always think what you are doing, and then there will be no problems, and the risks will be minimal.

It's good for newbies to understand how impossible it is for them to recover their cryptocurrencies once the scammers have taken it away, some are still new and may think of crypto as a centralized system where you can report scammers and get them tried before the law and recover funds, it's understandable in their case and they need to do more reading to understand how things work.

But those I'm unsympathetic towards are those who fall for the same type of scam multiple times, you were ridded off your funds in a fake giveaway and few weeks later you're sending out funds in another giveaway, that's just stupid and sheer avarice.

@coolcryptovator I have been scammed out here and from my personal experience I can say that I too would have attempted to do everything to get my funds back, but at the same time I would not have forgotten the common lessons regarding crypto’s i.e. once funds are gone they’re irreversible and they cannot come back. Also it’s pointless to discuss about him because he won’t stop making posts here, and I believe members are smart enough not to hire him but if they do then they are hiring him at their own risk.

I didn't know such scanning techniques existed and it would be very useful to members on the forum.

One who has gotten scammed is usually emotionally distraught and frustrated and is in an effective state. Psychologically this is the time when they are most vulnerable to fall for other scam attempts. It's similar to what happens during gambling or trading. When you lose money in any of these, some try wildly to get back their lost funds by any means necessary. This would potentially lead to more losses until the victim
Digital currencies are mostly unregulated. While it is possible to pursue lost funds legally in cases of fake ICOs, it is improbable that it would result in the recovery of the lost fund.

Thank you, you have warned us so many times. People who have been fooled will most likely just want to get their money back, and that is why they will try some of the methods offered by people without further review.

Sometimes they are just unconscious or too emotional so they take the wrong step to recover lost money. Without consideration, they are monitored by scammers and if they pay, then of course it will cause them to lose their money a second time.
