The chinese are using the PBOC as an excuse to crush the price and short and use all the panic sellers on their advantage.

How do we stop them and fuck them up? easy, don't panic sell when they release more PBOC messages. If they see that they can't manipulate the price with those PBOC messages,, they will try to stop shorting and they will start longing pushing the price up.
Exactly.Just turn a deaf year to such rumours.Just hold your bitcoins. I would rather advice you to even buy some more bitcoins as i hope price wouldnot fall below this and would start rising again once the chinese start buying bitcoins in large volume.Even though we know china holds maximum number of bitcoins and a small change in china affects bitcoin market world wide, just analyse any information you get related to bitcoin market in china.By doing so, you could avoid getting panic.

I agree, panic and random selling is of no use to anyone. Keep your head cool, collect as much information as you can and then make decision, otherwise you could be sorry later. Analysing Bitcoin information related to China is good way to start, by now we all know they are very important factor on Bitcoin market

The price will rise and fall with out the help of the Chinese and users of bitcoins will only sell if they want to if this increase the price of bitcoins I'm sure more users might sell but then more new users will join the bitcoin revolution and that it self will make the price rise and bitcoins so lety them try and thefn there be more profit in bitcoins for us all

But with Chinese people buying Bitcoin, it is easier to make its price increase.  Definitely Bitcoin is still volatile even without the Chinese in the scene but isn't it great if Bitcoin have those Chinese population to adopt it?

Well, I agree that to counter this PBOC announcement is to become idle whenever they release a bad press.  They will eventually learn that their effort to FUD BTC is just a waste and probably think of another way.  It is a business, and PBOC wanted to take incharge LOL.

Big traders should hear these words and I think that they already have tried but mostly the traders are not patient and so they trade as much as they can.

I'm trying to not spend any satoshi neither selling them for cash because I think that bitcoin has potential to have its value at 4 digits for the next few years.

Don't you think there is connection between PBOC officials and chinese exchange platform owners?
They have said that investigation will run for next 7 days and even more and in meantime price is pumping slowly now i think we will see another fud from them saying PBOC find money laundering activity involved to panic traders and dump the price to buy back again.

I think it time to realize that bitcoin has value in itself and it cant be controlled only by Chinese mafia. We should not pay attention to these fuds and keep our bitcoins save. This way these fuds will vanish and bitcoin will flourish as always. My advice no need to be panic on any news.
Bitcoin is not under control of China or any other country. Bitcoin is decentralized and will remain decentralized forever, hence no mafia is able to control it. As time pass bitcoin is becoming stronger than its previous position, because people are adopting bitcoin in a great number. Obviously no need to get panic.

But, we are know that China is the most widely using of Bitcoin.
Very reasonable if the PBOC issued a message encouraging the
Chinese people to be more careful with business bitcoin.

The PBOC has by now issued statements for more than 3 times advicing about how bitcoin is dangerous because its very volately, and each time they have done so, the price has crashed. If they have learned something and actually want to help people from lossing money, they should keep their dumb mouths shut. If they continue, it's safe to assume they are doing insider trading and using those PBOC statements to get short positions then drop the statement and collect the money.

the value of bitcoin is increasing from time to time, as soon as the mass adoption is increasing bitcoin value is also increasing and it is becoming more difficult for for a country either it is china or any other country to control bitcoin, bitcoin a decentralize currency and will remain decentralize for ever.

well correct if you really an investors the first thing that you need to remember that this investment will grow in a period of time its just up to you if how long you can wait and how much you wants to earn, in the eyes of a believer its always a win win situations, only weak holders are the ones who caught in the middle when whales started to play around,.

That had been in my thought recently, PBOC always butt in to cause fear and trigger massive dump among the holder.  I think this PBOC is actually acquiring Bitcoin and that when they want to short, they announce a bad press and voila, shorting is successful because of those people who will start to panic and sell their bitcoin at the lowest price.

Totally agree. I will never sell my Bitcoin no matter how low the prices are. I never feel panic when I see the prices drop. However, I find that there are not many people are the same as me. Most of them sell their Bitcoin whenever they see the prices lower than they expect. That causes a lot of damage to the Bitcoin prices and the market. Poor those people.
We cannot blame people if they sell their bitcoin whenever the price goes low that is their own strategy in earning. The impractical thing is when you sell all your bitcoin because of panic selling and regret after the day when you saw that bitcoins price becomes higher.
Now that you've talked about panic selling, I think part of the recent sell-off is certainly related to it, because the end of these types of operationss in exchanges that do not use fees is probably something that will bring benefits to Bitcoin in the long run, and people who know Bitcoin very well know that this will not affect the use of it.

What me and a lot of other people has noticed is that chinese regulations cause market crashes, which then get quickly bought up again. The first market crash was the worst one, right now is not as bad anymore, but it's clear that it's still something seen as somewhat negative even tho it's actually good.. the first one was a lot of expected market correction too tho, not only any related news. The priced had to correct, it was climbing too fast in a couple of days.

Traders are going to use whatever they can to profit from the market swings, they don't really care if the price crashes 30%, that's an opportunity for traders to gamble with and make gains.

Traders are like hitmen... they don't care and are just in for the kill. It's only the long term investors that care about the project being a success long term.

Those waiting for a big crash to short will never see it. There is not going to be a 2013 situation again, we are way more solid now. In fact, we are climbing back to 1000 right now.

Very good insight. You just characterized majority of bitcoin traders. Nothing bu week hands selling at the first sign of bad news.
Furthermore so far China was plagued by margin trading, people were dealing with borrowed money all along, now then margin trading is gone they are panicking.

Investors and traders care for the profit so even they know what the is latest trend and the effect of it to the current price decrease, they are securing the profits rather than to hold it for long. They can back again anytime once the price went to decrease again so no worries for them if they will take out for now and entered later.

Only those long term bitcoin holders will not be dragged by this even the price went down much more. That's the spirit in their optimitism about the big price increase that will in bitcoin someday.

i wouldn't call it optimism, it is -in most cases- a good study of bitcoin and its future and then investing as long term strategy. and i have to say in the past 8 years this strategy was successful since the price has been rising ever since and the pumps like mtgox or the halving pumps were a good chance for others to get in and those who were in to make some profit and buy again.

so maybe you and lot of other people start having this also as a possibility that Chinese regulation or anything else Chinese related has no effect but the news of it affects the price instead. which means traders are taking advantage of the situation to create panic and sell their coins high and buy them back after the end of panic period with a huge profit.

The usual victims of these FUD gimmicks are those very new in bitcoin or very new in trading. Those who are not yet used to the volatile nature of bitcoin will think that it is crashing when it drops 100 or 200 dollars down. They will panic and sell at loss. But those who have been here long enough will take those dips as an advantage to pump their bitcoins. Bad news will always happen, FUD will always be there. But if you know that the technology backing bitcoin is solid, you will not fear those news. But instead take advantage of the weak hands selling their bitcoins.

Imagine you invested a large sum of money into bitcoin and remember it is not regulated by the government and suddenly you hear that restrictions will be put on bitcoin transactions what you will do is sell the coins and convert it to fiat to avoid further troubles and that is what happened .
Well, I think that I would get scared of such kind news and chosed the first variant that you have suggested for my bitcoins. But as I get from your words it's all just speculation and I don't need to believe in everything that I read about bitcoin here.

I think fake news about the chinese issue before when the price was $1100 and people are panic sell because of thinking that the biggest bitcoin farm will be close. i really don't know if this is the real reason why the price was decreases due to bad news. well its not a problem i think because bitcoin still pushing up again and i think the could be increase again back in that value..
We can not say its scam but you know bitcoin holders always afraid to lose that is why they are selling bitcoin first so that they will not lose and if you are late you will lose instead of making profit..

Therefore they often tend to panic when the market moves the wrong direction.
Furthermore there are lots of different personalities in the markets. And a lof of them are easy to scare, the list of methods to do that is long.
Try to take advantage of that.Buy the dips!

in order for chinese to mnaipulate the price, they need to be a whale first, do we know about any whales that hold at least 100k coins to manipulate the market? i don't remember any

so this mean that chinese can only manipulate randomly based on the fact that they are many and if many of the buy and then panic sell they might cause a huge crash

therefore who is making this panic selling must be someone else that take advatage of the chinese weak hands...

I have no idea why Chinese traders are reacting allergically, it is not that Chinese government can confiscate or ban bitcoin itself. All they can do is ban official Chinese bitcoin exchanges.
If that happen I am sure that will be have off shore exchanges popping out. There is nothing that can really break bitcoin network down.

It is because they are gamblers. Most of the hodlers are in the west, and western speculators take profits from time to time but don't really panic sell and take big losses on rumours. But Chinese speculators do - I think it is cultural and those manipulating them know this.

This is the nature, no one can change it, more than 65% of all bitcoins being mined in china by several big and a few medium mining farms, so they actually should be scared and dump for fiat because they live there, you don't really think all of them working together in an elaborate manipulation scheme do you? on the contrary the governments specially in last 2 months been spooked by daily bitcoin market volume and are reacting to keep the money flow under control and traceable, as you know people are free to do whatever they want with their money as long as it's legal and taxes paid but when we're talking about 9 figures amounts of cash moving around it's like an alert to them that's why they try to corner crypto traders to watch them up close.

You are just like them - just talking your book.

When a panic comes it is best to sell and rebuy lower. "Who panics first panics best" as they say Smiley Of course the hard thing is to decide if what comes is a real panic - or just a hiccup.

I don't understand why people would panic sell if they were scared of audits... it doesn't really make sense to me.

If you were a scammer or money launderer... who already traded Fiat for BTC; then why would you place another transaction selling BTC for Fiat which would need to be accounted for and paid taxes on?

Even if I was an honest trader, and I knew the government was about to audit the exchange I was on; I would not place another transaction right before an audit. I would just withdraw my BTC, and especially Buy BTC with all the Cash Balance that I have in my account.

Why would I sell BTC and try to submit a withdrawal to my bank in Fiat from an exchange under investigation?

Makes NO sense. If anything, the price should have Gone UP at the news of Government audit.

There doesn't need to be actual sense, it's just the psychological impact of an official statement by a government, specifically if the country is the one that has the biggest amount of hashrate in the game... so whatever they say, it will have an impact. Also you got to be delusional if you don't think there is a lot of fraud in the chinese exchanges, the good news is, now its all cleared so all the growth is real growth.

The chinese are using the PBOC as an excuse to crush the price and short and use all the panic sellers on their advantage.

How do we stop them and fuck them up? easy, don't panic sell when they release more PBOC messages. If they see that they can't manipulate the price with those PBOC messages,, they will try to stop shorting and they will start longing pushing the price up.

PBoC, bank of 1.5 billion people really don't care about btc... I just want to say it. Of course some guys have to win, as always in that corrupt world where coin is GOD.

Instead of panic selling, short. When PBOC releases some BS statement, you sell and buy for a lower price. Just be conservative when you sell, so you won't end up buying at higher price.

In the long run(months-years) the price always recovers in the worst case, and usually increases

Getting panic doesn't have to do anything with this, as even collectively group of guys having low number of coins selling can't make the difference, but this gets hotter when those big boys come up and try to shake up the markets through their big sell orders being eaten up, which they want. What we need to do is, stay away from the games being played every now and then to show people the power these guys have, if we will not show any interest, they will not take more actions because it will be of no use to them.

The big players still need the big mass of ordinary people to follow their lead otherwise the shakedowns would be very small. If you take the % of panic sellers out of the last crash, we would have not went under 1000$ for a long time and we would have certainly not touched 7xx territory again. They depend on people's fear.

I'm not easy to be panic and take the bait even if the price down to $500.
It's easier to buy then and hold for a better future, but they who have huge amount of bitcoin apparently could manipulate the market by sell big amount to get profits, imagine if you have BTC5000 and sold it at $1200, when the price fall to $700, buy back again.
What a nice strategy, right. If there's no one following to sell, they would loss. But how much of us willing to support bitcoin price to stay at the top.
