Most of those top influential individuals who claims to had won bigly in the gamble are formalities. Why don't they show off they looses instead we only hears about their winnings?
Let's always be careful so we don't end up regretting our actions due to greeds.
The media + social media these days is something else. I take whatever I see on social media in recent times with a grain of salt because nobody talks about the risks or losses incurred but only post wins so much that it looks like all they do is win-win (yes, like the Rick ross song). If there's one thing that crypto has taught me is that you'd be better off doing your own research rather than just blindly following someone's advice. The truth is that some of the celebs showcasing wins actually gets a deal from sports betting outfits such that if they lost, the platform makes it negligible. If they win, they can show off and lure more people. Some would even come up with accumulator bet that will most likely loss and share with their followers just so they'd earn commissions from the losses.
Like trading, gambling is a zero sum game. As you're winning, there's someone at the losing end. For me, I understand this and do take part in it — it's is my decision because I believe in the philosophy that "scared money doesn't make any money" and it is not influenced by anyone. People need to learn how make make informed decisions.
