Most of those top influential individuals who claims to had won bigly in the gamble are formalities. Why don't they show off they looses instead we only hears about their winnings?
Let's always be careful so we don't end up regretting our actions due to greeds.

The media + social media these days is something else. I take whatever I see on social media in recent times with a grain of salt because nobody talks about the risks or losses incurred but only post wins so much that it looks like all they do is win-win (yes, like the Rick ross song). If there's one thing that crypto has taught me is that you'd be better off doing your own research rather than just blindly following someone's advice. The truth is that some of the celebs showcasing wins actually gets a deal from sports betting outfits such that if they lost, the platform makes it negligible. If they win, they can show off and lure more people. Some would even come up with accumulator bet that will most likely loss and share with their followers just so they'd earn commissions from the losses.

Like trading, gambling is a zero sum game. As you're winning, there's someone at the losing end. For me, I understand this and do take part in it — it's is my decision because I believe in the philosophy that "scared money doesn't make any money" and it is not influenced by anyone. People need to learn how make make informed decisions.

We're all in this Naija together so we mostly understands what some of us are capable of doing. We're most motivated to take steps during when there're massive testifiers who pulls high weights of success.
We literally believes such a time could also benefit the rest of the persons who rides on the same field following the loopholes leading to the promise land.
The mentality is still too backward. You only do what you never wanted to do just because he heard someone did it and prospered in it and once tried and it didn't work out you'd step off and when you hears another person's testifying then you'd embark and still give it a trial. We just so failed to understand that what works out for the next person may not work for you and what works for you may not work for the others.
While we are mostly submissive to be influenced by the medias, we're of the tendencies to loose more than we can always afford to loose at such course of forcing in to emulate what we're not sure of its realistic.

I no just understand how some people brain dey work, especially those gamblers wey dey gamble blindly simply say one celebrity or social media influencer stake game and post, them go just rush follow am like werey. Although sometimes, e dey actually they work in their favour but e no mean say na so them supposed carry follow up gambling.

Gambling itself no be be bad thing, na just the way some people dey carry follow am, because say you see where person carry 5million naira take stake game, your mumu button activated say na e be the surest game, then some people go carry their hard earned money go through for the same stake without even thinking twice.

Contentment is a great tool for staying safe from every form of pressure from whatever end and at most it forces us to operate within our own set limits without being forced to follow anyone's pattern of things,  this is why when I hear of stories such as last weekend winning it doesn't move me that much,  because before you envy the last weekend winnings,  I hope you be ready to also accept the stress and burden of their past loses to be on the balance state with things if it doesn't go along with your prediction,  expectation and desire.

Gambling is full of uncertainty and to some point, it becomes obvious that what is attainable to Mr A may not be part of the luck of a gambler at some point.
Those who entangle them selves with the pattern of others always ended up loosing when gambling . That is why I see some people paying for sure odds from Telegram groups and whatsap channels but I'm not use to that and I don't find it as one solution to winning my bets. I prefer doing it my own way, from my own perspective and emotions and even if I lose at that moment I nvr find it disturbing than in a case of paying for sure odds and the game cuts which is mostly staked with huge money its very annoying.

It's my tone line of staken I prefer analyzing the game by what I know it will come out of it than any odd gotten from somewhere else, buying of odd and still loose the bet after paying for the both is very disheartened and it's very discouraging about bet but when you generate the odd through your own way of understanding the game it make you more proficient even when you loss the bet you can easily detect where your error comes at that point  can be more accurate when predicting next bet.

Well there people who are addicted to gambling that they cannot miss one weekend without gambling even if they don't have the money they will do anything they can to get even if it means stealing. So many of these gamblers are not investors if they can use this money they are wasting on gambling to accumulate bitcoin using DCA and they can sell it whenever there is a bull , instead wasting there future on gambling.
Our future in gambling is uncertain but promising for those gamblers that are hardworking, discipline and ambitious for their growth in the system. Let's be sincere between ourselves, we're the only one that knows ourselves more better than anyone else and we should always do the basic necessities before arriving at our targets. I know the tasks at hand is not easy but we just have to keep trying till we arrive at our goal. Fear of missing out will always be there and attached to gambling addicts that have nothing to contributes to the system.
I knew there was a time this topic interest me the most. Because at that period both weeks were really successful weeks for gamblers in Nigeria which i knew i was a beneficiary. This week look like a similar week like then. I won't be surprised that today all the games i will bet on i would win.

Now let me get things straight here. Gambling with discipline is the main criteria, hard work, ambitious will not make a successful gambler but discipline and consistency will. But one way or another i still don't see gambling as a way out of poverty or financial elevation. Instead of channeling all on energy into gambling because don't we channel it into something like a skill or talent and we would still be successful.

Well, there have been a few proposals for regulating the gaming sector and safeguarding customers. One proposal is to limit the amount of money that individuals may spend on gambling. This might be a daily, weekly, or monthly restriction, depending on the rules in place. This would assist individuals avoid overpaying and falling into financial problems. Another proposal is to mandate all gambling websites to include information on safe gambling practices as well as assistance for those in need. This might include hotlines, counselling services, and instructional materials. As a result, they can assist to decrease the harmful consequences of gambling.

It is important for us to learn how to do things that works for us rather than copying another person's lifestyle. Moreover, it's a celebrity we are talking about here so don't take because he is a celebrity, you now assume that he might have information before staking that huge amount of money. Never follow influential people as most of them live a fake lifestyle just to attract peoples attention. So it is advisable for us to know our boundaries don't get involved in other peoples business as what works for them may not necessarily work for you as well everyone has areas they are good at so concentrate on things you are good at rather than copying others and another thing again is contentment, be contented with your way of life don't live to impress anybody.

One of the challenges most people normally have is that they sees themselves as people who are always on a compitetion with others, as such that whenever they see someone cashing out from their wining they had on there gambling they feel so bad and trying to picture themselves on the winner's shoes. So however they will start seeing themselves to have missed out gambling opportunities so they will make sure in other not for them to be left out they could as well start gambling believing that since others won there could also be likelihood for them to also win.

So we should always avoid the fear of missing out our gambling opportunities.

Having to join paid Telegram, WhatsApp, and Facebook gambling groups is what I usually advise people against. As a gambler, let your only risk be that you are betting on a game for which you don't know what the outcome will be. Don't risk giving your money to a group of people on social media who have promised to give you a sure game if you pay them; that's pretty much gambling for you to get the real game, which might still end up busting. As a gambler, it is best to learn how to predict and stake for yourself. Most of those paid groups are just scams, although I have come across one of them on Twitter that does not ask you to pay them, but he doesn't drop every game he stakes on; he only drops some that he feels can earn you small wins, but any time he stakes on big odds and wins it, he will only upload the slip.

Last weekend the buzz on the Nigerian Twitter space was about one punter who one $450k from the games he staked on. I also saw a bet slip from one of the Nigerian celebrities. There was a friend of a friend who won 1 million naira from his bet . I could go on to name more. Many Nigerians wished they were were the ones who bet on the games and won. Anyone who is sensitive can correctly predict that this weekend we are going to see more young Nigerians bet on the weekend games. And their reason is simple, the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). They do not want to miss out from this weekend wins. These gamblers and even first time gamblers will go to great lengths to ensure they don't miss out. Some of the things they'll do will include - borrowing money to gamble, joining free and paid telegram signal groups, spending time on social media analyzing punters, steal money to gamble, use their school fees, house rent, and money that they cannot afford to lose for gambling. The result is that 99% of them will not win anything..like they say in Nigeria parlance, "their game go cut."

Please this weekend, do not do FOMO gambling. Gamble responsibly. Use only money you can afford to lose. Do not allow society and social media put pressure on you to gamble or go above your gambling budget. Be wise. And for those who will gamble responsibly,I wish you a winning ticket.
Thanks for the good wishes, but sincerely, I wished I booked a bet on todays El Classico and Chelsea and Arsenal matches respectively.
I would normally have persons send me some codes to book the current matches and then I can edit and place a wager according to what I have in my wallet balance. Today was quite different, because I didn't have any codes nor was I online or paid attention to such messages until I saw myself viewing the matches live and I wished for the codes to just be there.

No FOMO for me, but tomorrow, am gonna bet, not because of any FOMO, but because the match between the Manchesters, will be of great odds.

Person no supposed pressure you to gamble, omo... I see gambling as more of putting ones emotions together and in respect to his mood. I don't play my games under pressure, I don't see my self putting all my hard earned money into gambling because I want to win big or I see people around me using bigger stakes on it.
I dey use my head just as dem no dey teach person to blow hot food before e put am for mouth.
Anybody wey wan pressure me to gamble should give me money for the gambling. It is as simple as that. How can you allow someone male you be under pressure to gamble. You supposed check yourself first to see if the gamble go go well with your plans and budget.

Many people no dey plan their gambling and na there their mistake dey take start. How you go enter gambling without any plans of target... there is no way FOMO will not enter. Gambling is a good business but na sense you go take follow am before the thing send you go back village.

Seems this is a general thing. My Neighbour took me out yesterday evening and gist me how he won 320k from last weekend games. Guess predictions last week played a lot. especxially the win odd. Funny how he told me that no business or work pays more than betting. That if you devote your time and discipline yourself that everyweekend there must be a cashout. I beleive this weekend i would try my luck and see if something will come out for me. Since the country is difficult to make good money, lets see what gambling can do for us. At least everey weekend if someone win some good money they can pay for little bills and care for feeding. Life is not meant to be hard unless we want it like that. OP thank you for gingering me. Let me go and predict its almost weekend.

Obviously, this might likely be the situation this coming weekend. Since there have been series of wins weekend to weekend and back to back, more gamblers would like to fomo into it and make sure they have their own share of the cake for the fact that others have been winning, the number of gambling activities would drastically increase both the new and the old would want to gamble to try their luck. Some would go as far as borrowing just as you have said not because they have clues on how to gamble but because someone told them to do it as their prediction would yield positive results whereas they have no clues about what they are doing but rather the person encouraging them to gamble is just using them to do a guess work together with their own gambling so that if any of the bets works out fine, they would have something to hold unto.

I agree with that,  because as a gambler there is the need to build a formidable approach that will propel your winning and that winning approach has to be peculiar to only you and what you choose to improve and build on as a gambler,  bit by relying on the speculations of another person is a sure way to lose at some point so being major to buy into that idea of paying for a sure bet,  or even relying on another person predictions is a big danger to you as a gambler.

Some time way comes across people who may try to entice us with all of that shit,  but then we have to be smart enough not to be deceived into believing that we may come across something out of the ordinary while looking for the answer in gambling.

Is like this thread for really make sense on the gambling "board" oh, but however, eh still dey okay for here. And secondly, you see tins such as "borrowing or stealing money to gamble and using your school fees or house rent to gamble" are the two worst things I can never advise anybody to do irrespective of whatever reason on the face of this planet earth, because when it comes to win a game while gambling, everybody has their appointed time to win, of which even if you gamble from today till next 2years, if it's not your appointed win to win huge, just continue gambling with your small amount of money you can always afford to lose, instead of borrowing money or using your school fees, as I have seen many scenarios like this which finally ended sadly, and as such never you let anybody put you under pressure in this life.

One thing I know is that this weekend is going to be bloody in the gambling ecosystem. You see those sports betting websites, I am sure that they lost a lot of money last week but this week it is not going to repeat itself again for those who think that they are coming prepared these sports betting sites are going to be two times prepared.
If you have the time watch this video of this gambler. He is saying what will happen this weekend.

You're correct even for my side people won bet from last week games, we just can't put hope that the same thing fit happen this weak, despite that there's Champions league, some people sha they take this gambling as their real hustle o, you never see where person borrow money and win bet bah? It has happened for my side, the person borrowed 10k and play gamble to won more than 100k that is miracle just it's very risky. Today the Champion league will resume i believe the hustlers on that will have try again base one believe  Grin as for me all this gambling is just by luck, for my side a person just started gambling like 2 months ago just won more than 200k day before yesterday and those my friends that have been playing over a have not win such amounts of money before.

The funny part of it was that, some that are no more playing after they saw this person win such kind of money, they said they can never give up on gambling again, they will keep on playing until they also win huge of money too, to be gambling is not that bad but we should make sure that we are having this money not only rely on gambling. No be everybody wey borrow money to gamble dey cut but the skills pass each other.

According to merriam's dictionary gambling is a practice or activity of betting, the practice of risking money or other stakes in a game or bet. It has cause a lot of damage to the Nigeria youth.
So many Nigerian youths don't want to work again, they are just looking for means of turning into a millionaire overnight through gambling.
After working throughout the whole day they carry their hard time labour and place it on a bet. After losing their hard-time money to gamble they will be left with nothing so, they will be looking for always to get money to gamble in other to recover  their money back. so it's like them into stealing it killing and kidnappings and all the dangerous activities.
Gambling as also make some people rich because they play wisely.
This weekend gambling put smile in some people's face and sadness in people's face because it was not as they expected it to be.
Chelsea vs arsenal and Sevilla vs real Madrid which draw in their match destroy make  people lost their weekend ticket.  For anyone playing gambling should still stake wisely that is my advice.

Last weekend was very massive in the gambling world especially when E-money posted his bet between Chelsea and Arsenal. I know a lot of people followed him to play the game because it was trending on Twitter. I can only imagine how many new converts will join gambling the coming weekend.

My advice na say make we use our head o because gambling no be anybody mate. People wey dey celebrate their winning fit don dey loose dey come since, maybe their own time just come and they pick major. There is no easy wat to wealth so make we gamble responsibly. Thank you once again OP for this post because I know say plenty Naija guys dey game even on low key.

If me wan bet this weekend, I go avoid the games of those wey win last week because them fit use this week pay back some of them money them. I no wan follow pay beck wey me no owe.

One of the mentality that gamblers have is that whenever someone wins a bet they will be thinking that they would have also won if they had predicted better and whenever someone wins a bet, you see gamblers trying to meet the person for possible predictions without knowing that gambling is a game of chance as the possibility of winning is 50/50.

Gambling is not something that you will follow trend like maybe if someone staked a huge amount on an event then you decide to follow them with the little you have and having the mindset that if they lose that huge amount of money how much more about you that's staking with little amount.

Everyone has their means of making and getting money as you may not know how people make their money to stake that huge amount without thinking about the possibility of losing the bet moreover, some of these celebrities and influencial people are being used by this betting bookmakers and promoters in other to achieve some of their selfish goals. So gamble with caution, don't follow trends as you might even go bankrupt as a result of indiscipline.

Seriously, last week games gave so many bettors money like tomorrow no day. All the big odds games enter finish. Like throughout today na soso stories of how people been won big for all their games wey d staked last week with small money. It happened that way sha, and many people were lucky that last week's games favored them. Which everly em no go be so this week, people go lose their bets like madt.

As for me wey d here, I can only bet with money wey I go fit afford to lose. Betting more than that, I no fit take that kind risk even if the bet games na sure game, I no try am cos all games d unpredictable.

The only thing wey I fit do by this week na to advice my friends not to bet on their games with big money ooh(as for, betting na sure thing for all of us this week). Make them no expect wetin happen last week to happen again this week. Football results goes in divert ways. Em go fit go in favor of the team that lost last week or go against the team that win their match last week. Whichever way em go, it is advised to have a low staking power(money) than betting with money wey big.
