If you send payment for PayPal, and the sender of BTC ask's for a refund for his BTC, and he will send your PayPal funds back do not. Unless you trust this person it could be bad funds being sent back from another account.
For the BTC holder always be careful when dealing with PayPal if the user is not trusted it can be reversed or be bad funds being sent to you.
Escrow does not matter when using PayPal as it can be reversed weeks after, and if they used bad / stolen funds you're account will be locked, and most likely you will be held liable to pay back the funds.
