Just trust in yourself. When you are interested on something better to spend more time in analysing and learning it so that you get confidence and trust yourself and invest than trusting on others. And we have cheaters around. Be aware of fraudulent activites. Lots of hackers around and never fall into such incidents.

Yes, it is clearly a scammer and you are one of the victims. Scammers make tempting offers to attract investors, so they can get the profit from it. It has been going on for a long time and until now there are still many scammers walking around looking for prey. Remember that do not be easily influenced by the attractive offers that are provided. An advantage is not obtained that easily let alone just in a matter of days as it is said. So it would be better if you believe in yourself to start investing or trading independently so that we can also choose good coins to get a profit.

Oh wow!!
In this morning era and time you ready think such promises could have been real??
$500 profit for an investment that worth just $50??
It's well though, $50 dollars would have gone a long way by now if you had resorted to investing it yourself. Don't trust people that much next time and try to run your trades yourself cause there's no shorter way to making money.

Remember there is no shortcut to success. Do not trust these scammers. As there aren't shortcuts to earning money through crypto as well. It was up to you, you just had to do some research on the offers he was offering to you. Also, you must have to seek the opinions of other expert users. Anyhow be careful in the future.

It gives learnings to you and sincerely feels bad about it. All I can say is that you never have to easily trust people, especially when talking about money.

..He first told me that I was a big investor and that newcomers would get their money back in four days. So I believe and invest 50$. He promised to pay me 550$ in four days. Shortly after investing in it, he said no. And lied in various ways.

Did you really believe that you could earn more than 1000% in 4 days? This mistake is made by a lot of newcomers who believe that money in the cryptocurrency market is so easy to "earn". Such offers are scam and you should not give your money in exchange for unrealistic promises.
Most of the time newcomers had fallen into huge money offering that these scammers use to trick innocent traders. I can imagine how OP wanted to earn some big bonuses out from it in just only 4 days in trading but sadly, he got into the trap and lose his money. I think, even a normal person can really sense that it was a scam but somehow, OP is too senseless or too blind not to see it.

People needs to be careful , there are people  like this who claim to be expert. They tell people they are investors who can pay money in bigger return and if you fall for it and give your money that's the end. Know who you give money to invest,  do not trust every one who says he is an investors.
I know that most of the people that are telling that they're good in trading are totally scam. And those that are actually good in trading, don't ask for any investment from anyone because they can generate it for themselves and have it grow with the usual process that is taking a lot of time for them.

@OP should have doubted it and criticized it first that with a small amount, the odds of making that big within 4 days is totally low. Well, these scammers really know how to play with our minds since many of us are greedy and wanting to take easy and quick buck.

Exactly, never trust anyone that provide services of investment in crypto moreover with very sweet profits that are exactly super promising. This is commonly scam. Moreover, we must be also  careful and better if we are doing investment in ours choices, moreover to top coins or every coin or token that exactly has great value and also use case. Because during the time, the price may be increasing moreover if the product has good use case and has great progress and development.
We should have know by now that so many of those platforms is not a legit platform because when looking at the profit it's noticeable that some of them is not a sincere platform per say you can rely and invest on, scammers have different dimensions to operate via platform of investment, i think we have to isolate ourselves from all these kinds of investment that requires enough profit that you will get till the end of investment.

The return is too high in just 4 days, dont you have doubt that it might be scam?

Even in other investment (in general not only in crypto) its an obvious classic scam that most scammers use and because of your greed, you end up as a victim. Anyway it happened already, its a lesson for you to not repeat the same mistakes again.

I have seen many offers like that in the past and those offers are still coming to this day.
One note that you should remember, if the offers seem too good to be true, you need to be suspicious because there is no fast money coming to you in a short time, even if you are playing gambling.
So when you see the offers like that and that person offers to give you a big return in a short time, you must skip and never communicate with them because they will try to convince you to follow them.
Otherwise, you will lose your money.

When it comes to investment never ever trust someone who doesn't have enough reputation to be telling you to invest this and that or will send you a link and promises a good return.

First, there are no easy money that can be achieved easily, if someone said there is, then start to doubt.
Second, always do your own research first in order to have enough knowledge and so that you aren't ignorant about something that you don't know.

And lastly, if someone from here in this forum send you a telegram link 'cause they want to talk something about investment then start to doubt because they could just tell you or pm you here instead of leading you to somewhere which is obviously a trap.

Besides what you pointed out. There's no reputable trader or business owner that will offer 50$ turns into 550$ in 4 days. That is a very short time and extremely high return which no one can ever had in an accurate manner. If ever you stumble to a trusted user here that offering that investment opportunity with too much high return in short period of time, Never accept that offer whoever he is since most probably it was a scam. Its either the user is hack or change user already so better to focus on what the user is offering before you check the user credibility.
Thats trick is obviously scam.  $50 to $550 in a short priod of time then why sould we believe in that?
When I saw this I knew it already this is scam cause I think that no one can gives you a lot of money in a shortime.
Nowadays we must not give our fully trust in what we meet in social media cause scam is very rampant nowadays.
They give you a good offer to convinced you to joined them or to play with them and then in the end you receive an message that your account has been block or they not receive your deposit.

Do people still fall into this sort of scam! I'm really amazed as to how come some crypto enthusiast get to fall for this sort of cheap scam!!
That with $50, your a huge investor, your would be paid $500 ROI + $50 capital and all these are to be done in just 4 consecutive days. You see all that and it doesn't raise a red flag to you? Because, all the signs was right there before you.
What sort of a top trader would need $50 for a trading capital.

On second  thought, I felt perhaps your a new arrival on the forum but, it seems you've spent all your days on the forum bounty hunting. Perhaps that's why you haven't come across tales and signs of cheap scams such as you just feel into. Redirect your energy towards gaining some crypto knowledge and not bounty hunting all your days.
Sadly, yes. Mostly these types of scenarios starts from those spam comments in social media that wants you to contact them through Telegram or WhatsApp. They'll claim that they can 2x,4x or whatever-x  your money in x days.
What's making these scams look legitimate are those fake vouches in either replies or mentions, but all of those are just fake accounts. Those fake accounts are all made by the same scammer.

I watch scambaiters, and this is one of the example of what I was talking about.

The rate at which people are being scammed nowadays is high, scammers are coming up with different techniques and format just to extort money from people and thats why we should be careful on the Internet as most as most scam are done online. It was a cheap one to fall for, no company can assure you such rapid growth within a few days but i guess you were ignorant of this and you've learned from your mistake, you did a good thing posting it so others can learn from your mistake and not fall victim to any kind of scam.

LOL!

This is a classic funny story in the cryptocurrency setting involving newbies. And I surmise this kind of story will be told over and over again for many years to come.

This is the nth time something like this happened in crypto. The first must have happened several years ago. But this will not be the last. And you will not be the last victim either.

The problem seems very simple. It is that many of us seem to have lost all sense of basic logic. You know, the miracle of the loaves and fishes does not happen in crypto.

First why are you believing telegram chat's Always go for a website where there is complete information about project.

Fake websites are also there so beware checkout there domains and what are they offering, instead of stupid things people are researching by getting wrong information from internet this is the main reason people getting scammed.

Scam will happen we can't remove it completely but we can minimise it's rate by spreading more and more awareness.

This is an old trick and I don't know why there are still people who will fall into this kind of trap.  There's a lot of them on social media offering service like this, like FaceBook and most especially in Telegram which is they keep sending you a message.

It's obviously a scam because it doubles your money, there's no investment like this and it will always end up losing your money.  Strangers or even your friends aren't to be trusted when it comes to investment when they approach through our social media account, always verify how they will generate profit to give it back to the investors.  Doubling money or crypto is always a scam, better to stay away from them.

Firstly I will advise you not to trust anybody you meet on social media, I believe there are lot's of good people but scammers all everywhere now which you can identify the real people and the scammers so don't trust anybody.
Secondly you don't have to give anybody money to invest for you and you will be expecting reward in return learn to invest yourself, ask the person what he will do with your money and then do thesame thing yourself. Pls we have to be very vigilant now because scammers are just at our tail and they are coming up with new strategies just to scam people in a daily basic, try and familiarize yourself with different crypto scam methods.

That's an obvious scam, someone who has background about avoiding scams would tell you that outrightly. But not all of us have that background  so that's why you've fell for it easily. It's a lesson for you to never deal with any stranger that will ask you to invest this amount and you'll earn 10x of that within less than a week, truly a too good to be true offer. Avoid anyone that will offer you with that return because it's totally a scam when you're about to get a return that's very intriguing and enticing.

On the other hand, it's good that you made this topic. Somehow they are still too few if people keep falling for this kind of scams. So yep, I hope that as many newbies as possible read it.
And you... consider yourself lucky, since it was only 50$ you've lost, unpleasant but not a big amount... You've figured it up early, some lose thousands and then some even pay more to "unlock the funds" (a second, related scam).

You guys actually need to be very careful with does scammers. Don't let anyone deceive you by tell you when you invest 100$ you will get 1000$ just for  a week it all scam. Don't be too eager to make it in cryptocurrency it all depend on time, it will be better seeing your money growing or seeing it dieing than see nothing in your wallets. Once you understand cryptocurrency you will surely make it there but it is just a matter of time, once you are patient the little profit will be coming to you. Nobody will actually see where they can make huge profits and continue disturbing to invest in particular place.

So sad, but $50 for lifelong knowledge. You do lose the money, but from here is the starting point of how you are careful when transacting with people you do not know. You're lucky to lose $50 now, than when you lost $500, $5000 or whatever.

And something must always be remembered is, no investment can promise you will get 10x in a few days. All kinds of investment offers that promise huge ROI, 99.99% are ponzi scams. if you are not losing today, when you are invest in higher amount, you will lose at this point.

$50 to get $550 in just four days? Hell no. This is obviously a scam. So sorry, you have been scammed. That is like 200% daily return, which is not possible in any legit business.
Which company, coin is giving such returns in four days unless it's scam shitcoin? Grin

I have came across many such scams but speaking bluntly this is your fault for really believing such fake investing promise that could give you 5x returns in just 4 days? How come you can trust him.He just claims to be big investor and without any proof and investigation you believed him in hope of earning more invested $50 and get scammed which is just obvious. This is what greed can derive us of and we need to be aware of this. The amount was not big although it could be for you but what if you have invested more? So take steps wisely in the market and this is the most common scam which can be easily avoided.

I don't want to be perceived as sounding mean but the truth has to be told – You deserved being scammed, OP. How on earth would you believe such ROI was possible if not that you allowed greed take over you? So, you think if such were possible, the dude won't go get a loan and do it himself and then return the loan within that short space of time? Come on dude, steer clear of such mouth watery investment promises for they aren't an inch real. Anyway, I believe you learnt your lessons from that.

Ridiculously high returns is usually a pointer to indicate that a certain investment  is dubious. OP has learnt an expensive lesson, truth is it could have cost a lot more than 50$. This should serve as another example to newbies and those aiming to get rich too quickly, there is no easy way to make money, and no investment that can yield you 200% increment in such short time except it is a shitcoin that you were lucky to invest in before a pump, otherwise i can't think of anything else.Be careful with your money and portfolio, always have the consciousness to think things and offers through thoroughly before involving yourself.

This is an old strategy to scam people by giving that kind of very seductive interest or profits by investing in them.
Believe me, most of all that kind of investment is a scam.
They will commonly scam newbies or greedy people that want a quick taking profit with big rates. But the ways are too impossible, too good to be true, or too seductive that it seems suspicious.

You can find this kind of scam on many platforms like social media (telegram, Twitter mostly), YouTube channels, and also other sites.
Never trust anyone that will help you multiply your money by investing in their platform, never!

That's very unfortunate but on the other hand the positive thing is OP gets a clear cut understanding of what scam is in 50$. If you get scammed in early part of your career with few bucks it gives you experience of how to save hundred or thousands of your dollars in later part of your trading career. just be careful, there is no shortcut of becoming rich in crypto.

So he promised you $ 550 for your $ 50? For what exactly? Did he convince you that he was some kind of successful trader or what?
This was an obvious indication that it was a scam; if he makes that much from just $50 in four days he wouldn't need your $50. I think, in many cases, it is just a matter of using common sense and logic to avoid such scams.

He first told me that I was a big investor and that newcomers would get their money back in four days. So I believe and invest 50$. He promised to pay me 550$ in four days. Shortly after investing in it, he said no. And lied in various ways.
I don't know, but such a return is considered impossible, even from a professional person, and if he guarantees that he will get +100% profits, why not go to the bank and borrow sums, as the return from the inquiry will be sufficient to return the money.
In general, do not trust anyone who offers you free money on the Internet

We’ve seem stories of the kind hundreds of times, and clearly the proposal was a classic case of buying into a too good to be true type deal.

What I think would be interesting to read here is exactly why you believed the proposal to be feasible, and how you got in contact with that person in the first place. I’m not trying to dwell on the matter here, but rather to get insights as to why these types of deals are bought, from the horse’s mouth (so as to say).

$50 to get $550 in just four days? Hell no. This is obviously a scam. So sorry, you have been scammed. That is like 200% daily return, which is not possible in any legit business.

I don't want anyone to fall into the trap like me. Don't invest in anyone who tells you. They will not pay you.

This is obvious scam, if you encounter this kind of person again then ask them on where they would get the money to pay their investors and ask any license that they are allowed to solicit an investment as well ask proof about their company and for sure you will not get this from scammers. But anyways good thing you are aware about such scam and better warned your crypto friends about this also. And always put this in our mind that to good to be true is always not true this is somehow a golden rule on investing which is always discuss by many people  already.

From your writing, I can tell you're not a native English speaker. Expecting to turn $50 to $550 in four days shows how greedy and gullible one can be. You ignored the red flags

This is very important, mate. Don't easily trust some random people who offer you some profits that are too good to be true. Even if they don't offer you some offers, they can still deceive you. For my own good, I try my best to avoid people who pm me randomly whether in telegram, Twitter, email, or wherever it is. I don't click any link recklessly because I know, they're some people who are working on the lurk and catch us when we're unguarded just like their prey. Always be aware, and keep safe.
