fixed the issue, for anyone who has a similar issue the problem was apparently my account had a double deposit at one point and they locked me out from withdrawing, once i paid it back i was able to withdraw again

Nice to hear, but support at first didn't mention anything of that nature and kept babbling on about verification right?

I mean, double deposit was their fault from the beginning, and then they had the terrible support speaking nonsense, and only after 2 weeks do they resolve the issue finally. It's good that they have resolved it in the end, but that took way too much time.

I don't know about you, but based on OP's experience alone, I'd rather steer clear of Huobi Pro. If the issue was something more serious, don't expect the support to ever assist you in the process of trying to fixing it efficiently.

yeah it definitely took too long, they never sent me any kind of email saying there was any type of issue either, im just glad it got taken care of

i will give them credit that they were very quick with their responses whenever i messaged them, i think the language barrier made it more difficult too

According to my understanding, this should be to ask you to verify your account by a handheld ID.
The huobipro has a "Verification" page. Can you check it, what is your account status?

yes i never verified my account, but i have been using huobi for months with no issues, when i click verification it just has name/id number where i guess i have to put info in but as i said earlier id rather not do that on this website, and i also shouldn't have to since ive been using this site for months with no issues and they never made any announcement that we will need to give this info to withdraw..

they are totally OK taking deposits of course but not withdrawals, its a joke and should be considered a scam imo..

not only that, im pretty sure there are a lot of people who have not put their info in on huobi and have no issues withdrawing

heres some of there responses:

"You recommend that you change the browser login website to try it, and suggest that you do not click to get the verification code frequently, you can check whether your mobile phone set a short message interception limit"

"Sorry, no, you need to click on your money in your account to add your address. It is suggested that you check the spam of your mailbox has been received, GA is your own binding, if you forget to provide the UID and your account binding mailbox and cell phone number, and handheld certificate photos for you to remove GA, you can be re bound to withdraw money in the back."

they dont even make sense, i know theres a language barrier, but it seems like theyre telling me to check to make sure my email is not going to spam?? i am putting all the codes in from my phone/email, i even sent htem pictures of the error as well as all the codes typed into the withdrawal thing, to me it seems like they dont know what the f they are talking about at all

i am getting mixed messages from these clowns, some seem to act like i need to be verified, and others act like i dont, its impossible to get a definitive answer from these people.. has anyone here withdrawn from huobi pro recently without being verified?

I have no idea what the support is trying to say either.

The first reply seems to be suggesting that it's an SMS verification issue, but the second seems to be saying that you need to provide some kind of verification in order to withdraw? Both don't make much sense.

Could you take a screenshot of where the error of you not being able to withdraw occurs? Does it prompt you on the withdrawal page to perform any particular actions like getting verified, or no?

Also please take a screenshot of the Huobi support saying nonsense to verify that it's true, if their support is this incompetent, then everyone needs to be warned against using them imho.

doesnt prompt me anywhere to get verified, not sure what the issue is honestly

OP, what did support say to you? Did they say that they require your account to be verified, or was it something else that triggered this suspension on your account? Please provide as much info as possible.

i have email, phone and 2fa verified on there, i am uncomfortable giving sketchy websites like this one any kind of identifying information.. i was able to withdraw just fine a month ago, so why do they want that information now?

they seem clueless and incompetent, i dont know if i am willing to give them any kind of ID stuff.. is anyone else able to withdraw from this dump without their ID in?

Exactly. And that's something that I absolutely hate about certain exchanges, they don't give out any warnings that you need to get verified when you sign up, everything is going well, you deposit a big amount and all of a sudden you can't withdraw anything.

At least give out a warning at the start, and don't let people deposit unless they are verified.

I completely understand why you don't want to send Huobi your personal information and ID. From there the question is, how much in funds do you have stuck in your account right now? You say a lot, but that's a pretty relative statement when it concerns your precious privacy. If the value in your account can't be missed, then you basically don't have any other choice than to verify yourself. Good thing however is that according to Huobi's terms, you can unbind your ID and your exchange account, which might be something for you to go through once you successfully managed to withdraw your funds. I however don't know if unbinding your ID and exchange account means they will actually delete everything related to you from their servers (I hope for you it does).

Is your account fully verified? Huobi doesn't seem to actually require you to do KYC before using it, but there is that option in there. I'd fully advise you complete the highest possible levels of verification at any exchange that has the option before even thinking to deposit anything there.

I suppose you've already tried all support channels? Live chat (bottom right, click help, contact us> live chat) https://huobiglobal.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and https://t.me/huobiproofficial is the best bet if nothing else seems to work.

Can't say I've seen unhappy users though. They're heavily recruiting in Beijing and Singapore, and now expanding to London, teething problems as usual I'd guess.

be aware of huobi pro, i have had my account "unavailable to withdraw" for 2 weeks now, the customer support is literally useless, it sounds like people who have never done any technical support in their lives, i basically have a lot of money stuck on this shitty website and they wont manually withdraw and i am unable to get it out, so i would stay far away.. also more concerning is this happened suddenyl, the website worked fine for me in the past, but then suddenly this happened.

is there anyway i can make this information more widely known so more people dont fall victim to them holding your money hostage?
