So it was Chinas VGJ.Thunder who won the Galaxy Battles II, they defeated Evil Geniuses. I was not able to watch live but I have loads of free tickets given to me by a friend. I heard TNC Pro was eliminated by Team Spirit and yeah its not 1 Million USD, it's 500 Thousand USD which is not bad. Low audience turn out I heard. Not sure why, is it because only a few team competed?

Yes, I heard too that on day 3 tournament they make it free pass to enter arena because it has low audience.
I think it is because valve don't support it anymore as major, and make big invited team withdraw from the tournament.

I used to play dota when I was in college and it is really amazing how it become such a popular online game even in todays generation and now cryptos especially gambling is also adopting dota in betting site surely many players will come to visit and make some bet. I think like sports betting this kind of online games can really hit a good market in online gambling

No, it's because Valve removed their support to this tournament and there's no DPC points for this tourney. That's why there are 8 teams that also withdrew their participation considering the prize is still high. Those top tier teams are all for the points and they have other priorities and there's a conflict of schedule.

Didn't expect to find any Dota 2 discussion) What sites that accept bets in cryptocurrency on esports do you use to gamble?
There are a lot all over the internet, i use to gamble over some games of Dota & League of legends, it is funny, but sometimes there are some teams who have much more luck than the other ones who seems that they are going to win the match.

It is just for funny purposes.

I was surprised to hear that there's an upcoming tournament in my country for DOTA 2 and it will be held at the Philippine Arena for 3 days. Big money is at stake, not sure if it is true that they can win up to $1 million USD. Any idea what group is the favorite to win this year?
It's the Galaxy mate but the prize pool isn't $1,000,000 anymore. Valve pulled out their support to this tourney and as well as other teams withdrew their slots although it's on live now.
To know more about it, I'm looking at this website http://liquipedia.net/dota2/Galaxy_Battles/2

I have seen this too in Alodias feed, a GalaxyBattles2018 event, it is a huge gaming battle, and I know every dota players will not missed it. A big stadium for a huge event. Starting today. Will bet for TNC Pro team. Watch it on Youtube now.
Dota 2 game enthusiast and fans wont really miss such event like this one where lots of teams will compete to get the title, not might be big the same on the International but still a very interesting competition to watch. TNC pro team was on my list too and they might show some spectacular performance on this event specially on KuKu.

The upper bracket main event is start today and live right now, i'm surprised there are only 8 teams participated on this tournament. Many big teams pulled out of the tournament like team secret, team liquid, newbee and VP. Fyi some players not participated like OG.

My prediction is TnC, EG and OG will qualify to the upper bracket semifinals.

there are two problems here. the biggest one is that most people around here are not interested in putting an effort in their bets, which sports and e-sports betting requires effort whereas dice doesn't you just click the button Smiley

also the timing is not quite right in my opinion. there are Dota 2 tournaments usually running all throughout the year but only a couple of them are popular and mostly watched and they usually occur during summer time not winter. for example the biggest one being The International takes place in summer. and by that time there will be more discussions about the games.
How can you say that a lot of people don't put the effort in their bets? I'm just curious because that's what I think too, knowing that there are a lot of tipsters and it's easy to follow but the risk is that you have no say but to follow, nothing else. Dota 2 is really a big stage where a lot of people know what Dota is but a lot of people can't analyze that's why they are going to tipsters.

Does people in this sub gamble for e-sport too? especially Dota 2

I too have been betting into e-sport like specially dota 2, there hasnt been much talk about e-sports here because most gamblers here are addicted to the typical casino games.
Moving from typical casino to e-sport would certainly blow their brains out on which team they will be betting on e-sports like dota 2.

Also big prizepool for each tournament makes some team rarely do throwing match, so make betting more easy to predict

Throwing up a game or "322" is not gonna happen again since just like you say the prize pool is large enough to make a player a millionaire.
The pride of the players are on the line here since e-sports is big now compared to its early days dota 1 tournaments.

I don't bet on e-sports games since compared to sports betting games on the E-sports community are highly unpredictable making it hard to have a sure bet for yourself. Unlike games like basketball you can analyze each situation from the best odds to what players have injuries. In sports a team that is not even a dark horse can win the 1st prize. Or is it just me as I don't have any experience on betting on Dota 2 games? Either way I still think that I have a better chance winning in real sports betting.

Yes, e-sport more hard to predict
But if you already often betting on e-sport you will know the winner easy

Dark horse win against top teams usually in low prize tournament or in qualifier tournament.
In high prize and high pride tournament such as TI or Major it is rare to see upset.

Most of Dota 2 betting website didn't have fiat currency option for the payout, I mean, they just paid me by Dota 2 item which is not worth it so much as I do not really like using those skin, and I must sell it first to get fiat, which is taking a long time to be sold (usually takes 3-4 days on market, depends on what's the skin is). I knew some Dota 2 market that using auto trade bot to sell instantly my many items but their fees its too damn high. Any suggest?
Why not use bitcoin for esport betting ? There are a lot of bitcoin sportsbook out here who offers esport lines for dota 2.

Try nitrogensports, they usually cover all games (BO1-BO5) including over/under total kills and handicap too. What i like on nitrogensports is i can still make a bet when the draft still on. Sometimes i hate the way they grade the bets, e-sports takes more time to graded. If the match is unpopular it might takes a day.
You could send a ticket about your betslip and give them the links for the results that will help your betslip get graded in a hour or less.

Anyone betting on the Dota Cinema tournament today ?

Dota is now hard to giving the right prediction. Too many 322 and sellout teams are playing for now.
If you talk about open qualifier match it yes, because small teams who think can't qualify will throw their match but in the main tournament i think there is no throw anymore.

I'm one of an avid fan and player of Dota 2 and I started to play since Dota days so what I do now is tuning in with every single tournaments and bets checking it out all the time. Dota 2 pro circuit is very interesting and teams now are starting to change their roster and the recent changed has been made by EG. They kicked out Universe which is not a good decision, they should let the old man retire.
Yes that was a bad decision for kicking universe. Fear still good as pos 1 tbh, don't know why but i don't like rtz playstyle

Lots of dota 2 player around the world and many tournament every year and I think this is a great idea to bet using cryptocurrency. I am also a player of Dota ever since and I do love to bet for the winning team. Want to hear more great ideas here in this thread.
Yes, lets discuss together bro more tournament  comes.

What they do that in Dota 2? Sellout? Why?
Do they know how much the bet is outside the game? Didn't know it works at that game too. Is it really that profitable to sell out one game for their manager?
Sometimes in open qualifier tournament, some teams do throw match for get money. Because if they don't win any tournament they cant get money

I used to play dota but I didn't know that betting on this game can be done here as well as payment of bitcoin. Well I shouldn't be surprise since bitcoin has become widely use and known to many it can actually reach even online betting games and tournament. I didn't know if there s any site here offering that but I'm interested with this
I usually use nitrogen for betting with bitcoin

I have noticed it too and i would like just to mention or say it since you did already notice this thing first. Copy pasting is really prohibited. If he wont able to edit it for sure he would really be ban on what he was doing. Back to topic i dont know why he do mention about selling out teams. I didnt even know that those informations did exist on e-sports.

Yes I agree, I think this is a great Idea. E-sports is a really big market  just like the normal sports it is nice to bet for an e-sports team.

There are a lot of games but I think DOTA2  is one of the most anticipated in E-sports.

I hope if some developer read this topic can consider adding an E-sports category in their gambling sites.
