Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
My analogy aside, I still fail to see where and who I supposedly doxxed.

Seriously, I'm not looking into who you are, but the moment I do (and only if warranted) I WILL PM you first.

BTW, I'm not pulling back, but drilling deeper. Somebody has to lead in putting a stop to the improprieties associated with Bitcoin, and it might as well be me, donning a tutu or not, for it sure the hell ain't the dudes guarding the hen house, soon be renamed the coxshouse (.com: "Good news, this domain is available").

Phinnaeus, don't get me wrong, I applaud your efforts to promote bitcoin, and some of your causes are great, but doxxing is doxxing (please drop the innocence act, you know it, I know it, everyone else knows it, your starting to look foolish), and to do so carelessly without direct reason can lead to harm (Dorian anyone?).

The guy was just expressing his views in a post, there is no great harm going on in that, to set presidents that everyone risks being exposed for just having an opinion is not a good thing, it just leads to people being afraid to talk, just in case something comes out of their past like a marijuana "incident" from 10 years back or something (just an example).

You like being compared to superhero's (a bit odd IMO), so remember, as the great Stan Lee said;-

"With great power comes great responsibility"

I kind of like having a resident conspiracy theorist but doing that to random people is a bit over the top.

Look, guys, I truly wasn't doxxing. I clearly shown that the entity providing the news is controlled - literally - by the entity making the news. That's what I was trying to get across, albeit my own special way, but not by doxxing some innocent entity - far from it.

Hell, do you consider the following doxxing as well?

I'm done with this guy, and everybody just might as well put him on their scammer list.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-forecast-458658 (Post 1 and Post 2 are by the same guy)

hi, i would like to buy some links from bitcoin and cryptocurrency related sites.

will pay bitcoin.

my site is: coinforecasts.com

Welcome to offer!

Hell, in that same thread, it's littered with both entities replying to one another as if they don't know each other and, ironically, they're providing the same service these dudes are.

Firstly, I'm surprised as to how compassionate your are on this issue, as if you're somehow connected to Red Tea.

Given the above scenario, do you ignore it, or look into the matter?

Crime by association?  Wow, I was just pointing out that people have a right to their privacy.  The leaps of association and guilt you are now making are now a bit disturbing (you, not them).

I am not associated with any of these guys (dispute your inference, I say I have committed no offence) but feel free to look, as I am sure you are.

Perhaps you started with good intents, but now your coming off as a fascist.  Pull back dude, your crossing the line.

Would you be so kind as to explain exactly where the doxxing aspect comes in? Color me confused!

http://www.economist.com/blogs/economist-explains/2014/03/economist-explains-9

There is a nice article from the economist explaining what doxxing is, I surprised you did not know!

Digging around and publishing someone's domain records to find their identity (EDIT: and publishing them, the doxxing bit) would be a fairly good example.

While I find no need to cover my track's in any way I know a lot of people do like to post anonymously some times and I like to think they can,  Satoshi for example for whatever reason did not want to be identified, I support his choice.

Neil

Firstly, I'm surprised as to how compassionate your are on this issue, as if you're somehow connected to Red Tea.

Secondly, are you not the least concern as to who is behind the curtain providing you the news?

Say you have a friend A, and A & B are very close friends, doing almost everything together, but you're not as close to B as A is, of whom you're very close.

B commits a heinous crime (not too graphic, e.g. only) like kidnaps, rapes, and chops off the head of 12-year-old boy. Prior to the not-so-graphic crime, B was last seen with your friend A, and A has been acting pretty suspicious lately, even prior to the not-so-graphic crime.

Given the above scenario, do you ignore it, or look into the matter?

That said, I just proved that Merlin of CoinSeed is behind Red Tea, now another Bitcoin-themed periodical, and you have the audacity to call it doxxing. You, my friend, are one sick motherfucker, and possibly should really be doxxed to see what the hell you're hiding, of which I'll leave that task to others, for I'm seriously not taking the time to do such - at this speaking, that is (if I was, I sure the hell would tell you I was, but I'm busy spearing bigger fish at the moment).

Took me 10 minutes to figure out who's behind Red Tea:

Does everyone need to be instantly doxxed?  (you can doxx me if you like though)

I mean, this guy was net even trying to hide (well, not that thoroughly) and from the sentiments expressed the post are not that far from real life.

At some point doxing may become a deterrent to people expressing their views anonymously and I am not sure that is always such a good thing.

You say you can "trade it for $567 real world dollars". Can you describe the process of doing that in detail? Then explain the process of acquiring more Bitcoins in detail including the identification process?

You are the X-Man of investigations Mister Phinnaeus!   You must tell everyone the Tu-Tu is the source of your super powers (just because that would be awesome).
