It works with the latest cgminer-version and the legacy version of catalyst 13.4 which isn't directly for 6770... but it now works, thanks for support Smiley

No... I'm using the 4650 for my monitors...

Then the problem may be, if you are seeing it in your device manager but cant mine with it, is that it isnt showing as active because there is no monitor plugged into it.  You may need a dummy plug to go into your 6770 in order for it to be seen as active in Catalyst and to be mined with.

Yesssssss... Catalyst still says disabled, but I can mine sha256/BTC and scrypt/LTC & Co...
I updated my cgminer-version (3.1.0 always crashed) and installed the beta version of the legacy catalyst 13.4. I'm a bit confused about my 6770 which also runs fine with this legacy beta version, but ok... it works Smiley

Is your 6770 plugged into a monitor at all?

Alright, thanks - I got both cards installed... both cards show as active cards in the hardware manager and working properly, but catalyst shows the 6770 as a disabled adapter...
Catalyst is a broken piece of shit, try GUIMiner Scrypt and see if your 2 cards are detected ad start mining on the 6770!

Edit: Primarily alt-coins, but I'm also mining bitcoins...

Well, I guess what coin you're mining should have been the first and only thing I should have asked.  I don't know what you'll need for your chosen alt coin(s).

Bitcoin and altcoins require different Catalyst and SDK's.  So I would suggest picking one and hope for the best.  But since it seems that the later Catalyst's don't seem to work I guess I would opt for using the Catalyst's that work best for Bitcoin and mine Bitcoins.  For that you would want to go with Catalyst 11.x or 12.x and NOT go over SDK 2.5.

Beyond that, no idea.
Good Luck,

Yes... 13.1. Catalyst shows me the following:

Driver Packaging Version: 8.97.100.7-121116a-151639C-ATI
Catalyst Version: 13.1
Provider: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
2D Driver Version: 8.01.01.1248
2D Driver File Path: {...}
Direct3D: 7.14.10.0911
OpenGL Version: 6.14.10.11672
Catalyst Control Center Version: 2012.1116.1515.27190

I installed 13-1-legacy_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc.exe - my 4650 is the passive one from HIS. As I already mentioned, I only want use my 6770 to mine some coins, not the 4650, hence a passive one should be enough to watch some vids Smiley

Catalyst 13.1 - Legacy?? right Smiley

I have an AGP 4650 and it requires Catalyst 10.7.  So if you can get yours to work with a later Catalyst you've done better than I ever have.  Of course that may be because of the AGP bus, I don't know.

What oder version did you get installed and working with the 4650?  Bitcoin mining usually wants/needs Catalyst 11.x or 12.x with SDK 2.1 to 2.5?

Sam

Edit: Are you Bitcoin or Alt coin mining?

Hi guys,

I've a HD4650 and HD6770... sure, not the best mining hardware, but better than nothing. My problem is the driver installation. I've some other rigs with 5xxx and 7xxx cards. There's no problem at all because all cards requires the same driver. But... the HD4650 requires the legacy 13.1 driver which seems to be incompatible with the HD6770 driver. Someone suggested to install the HD4650 driver and install the other driver using automatic, online search of windows update/hardware manager, but this failed because it is unable to find any driver. By installing the HD6770 driver after the HD4650 uninstalls the first (HD4650) driver. What I want to do is, to mine coins using HD6770 while working with the HD4650... any idea how to do this/to install/use both drivers on the same system?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
