Good luck finding some replacement NVidias right now. I run a mix of 4g and 8g RX580s without issue, what is the problem you are running into. IF you find the chipset using GPU-Z you can see if you can find a flash to make them way more power efficient. I personally prefer the stability and flexibility of stock cards, I trade long term stability and the ability to get decent hashrates for a myriad of different coins for extra power/cooling costs, but my power is like $0.08 so its not a big deal.

That is up to you.
I use 4 of them it has taken alot of messing around but saved me alot of money compared to nvidia.
When mined only for ethereum you can underclock/volt your gpus to use much less power.
My rig is also used for gaming but even then I only use 500w of power with 4 rx580 8g.
The choice is yours save money = more hassle, more money = not always more hassle.  Wink

I spent some time figuring out best solution for getting the RX 580 8gb to work on my new rig project. After reading about these cards  it seems like they are a hassle. Running hot and drain hiegher electricity. Or am I wrong? Should I return them and get nvidia cards as replacements?
