Can the president of the Philippines can do it. Well I like what his doing in his campaign. It is very amazing program and very work program in the country. Many were discipline now because of him.

For me its not, drugs can't be dominate as long as there is a near country that has many supplies of drugs. Drugs can be shipped anytime and anywhere, it's unstoppable. Many people die because of the "Operation Tokhang" in here, Buy-bust operations are very common a years ago, it cant pulverize the drugs in this country. Those people who die are just the "peasants" of this game, The "kings" also known as the druglords cannot be defeated. They are hiding with the use of money, cleaning their names with money, and especially using money for their own freedom. Money is the cause of all this.

He just kill all people who are involved in drug. You don't solve problems just to murder all who don't fit you ideally country in his eyes. A country without drugs don't exist it will always be part of the world.

He only gives justice to the people who are victims.Because of drugs many people were killed, some were rob, some are battered and others are being rape.Violence does exist because of drug influence. The person who is responsible of the crime should be paid off so that they will learn and get discipline. With that crime rate will decreases.

Shitty country with a shitty president and even shittier rules.

When the value of life goes so low, everyone suffers, and many families will be destroyed.

He is doing the right thing. Initially, even I was opposed to his measures. But after seeing the positive results, I am now convinced that he did the right thing. The crime rate is down there, and the people feel more safe.

Our president is really doing his best to fulfill his promise to make our country drug-free. But, I think it's not an easy task because drug syndicates are handled by big men which is most likely from big countries too. They move very synchronized and organized, which is I think impossible to stop. He maybe able to lessen the drug users or drug lords in our country. But to completely make it drug-free is pretty hard to achieve.

Philippines is not totally drug free as of now there are still drug syndicate operating. According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the end of term of President Rodrigo Duterte it's possible to get rid of illegally drugs. In increase of death in anti-drug operation it will scare many involved in illigal drugs.

President of the Philippines is also good. He does already a lot and he do what he says, but some people are dying even if they don't have a sin, they are affected to those who are really have a sin. Maybe because they are near to those who has a sin and has a problem in our country, but maybe next time they should be more careful and not going to hurt those who are not using drugs.

Does violence as a solution ever really work?  In the short term, perhaps it will lessen drug trafficking.  But the cartels will adapt to the new environment.  The risk of selling drugs will increase and so will the price.  The cartel will need to become militarized and start buying off the cops.  Perhaps the next Escobar will pop up and play chess with the government while the pawns continue to die.

Yes. What happened in Mexico can happen in the Philippines as well, especially if the cops are corrupt. And I assume that they are corrupt, after studying the abduction and murder of that South Korean businessman (Jee Ick-Joo).

It was Colombia that Escobar was running.  Assuming that was a typo.

So the top two recreational drugs in the Philippines are cannabis and methamphetamine.  Depending on the user, I can see meth being a problem since it is addictive and can bring out aggression.  Cannabis isn't really an issue to me.  The country just hasn't chosen wisely in selecting which substances to use recreationally.

Police corruption will come.  I'd also assume that there's already a decent amount of corruption as well though.  If not enough, then the price tag will go up until they bite.  They're just regular people trying to make a buck too.

Shabu(methamphetamine) its what they called in the Philippines. You will only read a few news regarding weed or cannabis. Shabu is the number 1 enemy of the Philippines and should be destroyed. The President is really giving it all to stop but I think it will take a lot of cooperation from different agencies and the people as well. Corruption will be not totally eliminated as well, because we all know that drug lords will bribe any police that will caught them. But so far, there are just few rotten eggs in the police and the PNP are really cleaning up its ranks.

True, what happened in Mexico can happened in the Philippines that is why the President are hell bent because he don't want our country to turn out that way. That's why majority has still supporting his war on drugs.

Im also live in the Philippines and infact Im a fan of President Duterte. I like his campaign about "the drug free in the Philippines" . Im just hoping that he become successful to this campaign, so that we Filipinos can live without worrying and also to secure all the the Filipino citizen especially the Youth to the  effect of drugs.

So far, the campaign is giving good results, although I am not happy with the death count. During the last four and half months, almost 5,500 people have lost their lives, including more than 50 cops. Out of this number, more than 2,000 were killed by the vigilante squads.

Ya? Was it also a kingpin who killed Jee Ick Joo?

The kidnapping and murder of Jee Ick-Joo was a shameful chapter in the history of the Philippine police. He was not in any way associated with the drugs trade, and still the policemen abducted him and then murdered him even after the ransom payment was made.

I think all should work together to get rid off illegal drugs, cause one man cannot change a nation all by himself.
If this could ever happened and people stop exploiting each other.....yeah Philippines can be drug free

President of the Philippines is doing greatly especially fighting drugs in the country. Due to this program of the President a lot of Filipinos surrendered and happily they've been changed even a little bit but this little change will make them great. On the other hand, because of this fight against drug there's a lot of people died because they don't want changes in their life. President is doing this to ensure the safety of the Filipinos. With this action it makes the Philippines becoming a progressive country.

Actually I can go home at night right now without worrying.  Do not have any thoughts about becoming the next victim of drug addicts or any person with evil minds.  I actually support him and voted for him because it is time that this country needs a leader with balls.  I like the way he treated the enemies and stand to it.  He seems like a father, strict but you would feel his love towards his people.  Those who are opposing the president do not want this country to progress.
