I think President Duterte can make it but the population will also be wipe out  Grin I think he can do it but many lives will be taken which is as a human we can't say that that's ok i wish he can do it without killing because i think they still deserve to live and change if they are willing to.

Hahaha This is so funny.
You are correct since Drug rehabilitation centers< Drug addicts.
More lives will be taken for sure but i hope no more innocent blood will be shed because of this campaign.

We can not say that it is totally drug free. Duterte's campaign on drugs is very impressive, it lowers the number of drug addicts, but he can not stop drugs just by killing them, there is another way.

Thousands of people, including the innocent bystanders have been killed so far. And I am surprised by the level of support this measure still have in the Philippines. Why the people are still supporting Duterte despite all the mayhem?

Because tens of thousands were killed, raped and violated through gangs ran by drug barons. Because hundreds of thousands of lives were destroyed through drugs misuse. Phillipinos then gave one man the mandate to fight the cancer with fire.

Why do you support drug lords and their private armies against the people of Phillipines? Why?

There are plenty of Phillipino members on this board. I hope they will educate you. You cant fight violent sociopaths with kind words. Not with paid thugs and corrupt cops standing behind them.

Meanwhile, the US – a close ally of the Philippines – said last week it is "deeply concerned," and urged the government to ensure that law enforcement officers comply with the country's "human rights obligation."

But in his Monday speech, Duterte shrugged off accusations that he was violating citizens' human rights, and said that law enforcers shouldn't worry about being held criminally liable while carrying out the anti-drug campaign.

"In the pursuit of law and order, pursuant to my directions, you do not have to worry about criminal liability," he said, as cited by the Philippine Star‎. "I will go to the prison for you. I take full legal responsibility, you just do it according to the books."

Duterte has vowed to continue the fight against drugs until the end of his term, saying it is a problem that has infected "every nook and corner" of the country.

Drug dealers are unlikely to be able to change. The president sent his weapons mainly against such people. And I agree with him. He does not kill drug addicts (they are sick people), he kills the root of evil

abuse after abuse even the presidents intention is good the people behind this syndicate are trying to hide killing those users and victims to divert the attention i'm sure those killings that happening from side to side of our country are created by police officials and those politicians which really the heads of this syndicate im just hoping that their are the people that will be killed not those small time people who still have chance if drugs will be removed completely.

He can do it for sure because he is hardworking or making effort on his campaign. I wish for the best of him. Even if he is rudeness or bull headness sometimes. Atleast he is sincere all the time.

Yes Mr. president can do it. The time he seats there are many things has been accomplished, one of which is that the drug problem in our country. Many drug syndicates are jailed and killed. This kind of dicipline is effective.

Agreed, Many of the corrupts official now in the government can't do anything in Duterte's  administration. Aside from His campaign about
in drugs syndicate many changes happened in a months only since He seated in malacanang palace.

The drug problem in the Philippines have reached a level where no one man can cure. If President Duterte goes to war with drugs one on one, he will surely loose the battle. The Filipinos must work hand and hand against illegal drug in the Phil. The president have already started the initial blow against drug peddlers, cuddlers, and protectors. Its up to the citizens now to continue the fight against illegal drug. They can start by 1st by not using and tolerating illegal drugs, help in dissemination of ill-effects of drugs, conducting drug-education to youths, children and to all walks of life. They should also participate in illegal drug operation by giving information that may lead to arrest or neutralization of drug pushers.
It's all a collective effort, not just one man. The one who leads the Philippines could help start the improvement in ourselves, there are just a lot of people who don't control themselves and now they are addicted to drugs. One thing is for sure why there is drugs, because there is a need for money. Money is the root of all evil and drugs speed it up.

yes, he can do it. but its not possible only by one man's hardwork, he needs to do change the system., i mean, from where does the drugs comes from, and how they end up on street or so., but i hear they have bigger issue like ISIS now.

I have strong suspicion that the recent ISIS flare-up in Mindanao is a desperate attempt by the drug lords to shift attention from the ongoing war on drugs. The authorities must look in to the source of weapons and funds.

That makes sense, even there are a war on Marawi, there are still drug pushers on the Country and they are making ways to be hidden on the government. I think if the President is not focused on the war, he is hunting this Drug Lords.

I've heard on the news earlier that President Duterte failed to "finish/kill" the Drug issues in the Philippines,
I hope next months , he will be successfully end and make Philippines a drug free country .

How can you say he failed, knowing that his term would end only on 2022.  He still have five years to do it.  Besides progress have done and results were seen.  Less crime were listed now considering that addicts are now in jail or six feet below the ground.  I feel much safer now.  I do not think that he will or he can wipe out drugs in the Philippines but it would be like so rare and would be in endangered level.  Hope and pray that his pursuit for drug free Philippines before his term ends will come true.
I'm not the one who said he failed but the person that being interviewed on the news said that he failed for the whole year.
I'm still believing that he can suppress the Drug activity in the Philippines.

As a Filipino youth, Philippines as a drug-free country works good for me, and I am not against our president in his decisions. I just don't understand why some of Filipinos are against Pres. Duterte. Our president has the initiative to change the country for good, and in order to fulfill his dreams, he needs our help to also change our perspectives and dream for a better life in our country.

He uses violence against people who pay for chemicals with their own money, which they put into their own body.

What is good about that? This is fucking fascism.  Angry

Drug users and drug traders do nothing wrong as long as both parties act out of their own free will. If someone decides to fuck up his/her body, why is that illegal?

Legalizing is the way to go, to get rid of drug lords.

I think the problem in the president's war on drugs is that aside from the drug lords that have rooted themselves in power along with narcopoliticians, they have all these oligarchs and their supporters who seem very determined to bring down an administration that's nit under their control and influence. It's already hard enough to tackle the problem itself, it's even harder if there are people trying to interfere with what you're trying to accomplish
