You mean the goverment will be the one facilitation distribution of those drugs?  You know what, our goverment is minimizing the audience using drug for they usually threaten a harmonous community. Why would The Goverment supply drugs and then find a solution regarding the result of of irreseponsible usage.

I thought about it before. Some country provide daily dosage of drugs for addicts but it doesn't mean they are supporting drugs. I don't think government will support this since it will be harmful for people. Government cannot monitor every move of users and this idea might promote more corruption and violence. They best option for us is not to promote drugs.

Wouldn't it be more profitable for governments to start taxation drugs just like tobacco and alcohol?
Sales would happen under supervised conditions, taxes from sales would be huge - win-win.
There would be so much money all around that even the thieves from the government would see that everyone would have to gain from this.
They already tax them but as a means to determine others from drinking or consuming more of these products because of its health impacts, they should impose more taxes on it so that the prices will go and people won't drink as much as they previously did.

Is anyone trying to tax heroin? Cocaine? Meth? No - they're illegal. In the mean time there are still users - and plenty of them.

The price of drug should be as large as possible, so that people might think about whether they should buy them. It is very bad that people still find ways to buy cheaper products. This is a big problem all over the world.

There are countries where certain items are considered luxury items: alcohol, tobacco, even soda - so yeah, large price, but also regulated, and stop trying to control bitcoin. Hehe.

There is a moral discussion about drugs and the government needs to ban them for the greater good, money is not the only answer in the world. It could fix many issues, indeed, but ruining people lives can't be a public government business

Why ban? People won't stop taking them. Look at the great alcohol prohibition from the last century - did it stop? No.

Wouldn't it be more profitable for governments to start taxation drugs just like tobacco and alcohol?
Sales would happen under supervised conditions, taxes from sales would be huge - win-win.
There would be so much money all around that even the thieves from the government would see that everyone would have to gain from this.

Using drugs is not legal in most of the countries on earth . For that reason, governments cannot start taxation on drugs. If they start to tax drugs, They accept usind drugs is legal stuff. As a result this will cause, Corruption of all societies for sure.

Look how dangerous is tobacco, alcohol, sugar, salt, fat - people still do it and they are not illegal.
At least they should control it and make some money off of it too.
There would be some kind of user evidence, no more violent dealers, government would earn (as if they ever do that) from taxing drugs - all good things.

And let me repeat it one more time - people won't stop it - and drugs are already illegal.
Conclusion: the current solution does NOT work!

Well I think we can all agree that the war on drugs has failed and we should try other methods.

This is the most logical solution for the drugs menace (at least when dealing with soft-drugs such as Marijuana). If drugs are legalized, then it will be much easier to monitor the drug users and to prevent the STDs and other diseases. Also, the number of deaths from drug overdose will decline considerably. Drug cartels are going to be the only ones to lose from such a situation.

I agree with soft drugs, however hard drugs legalization would be a huge mistake and a huge step backwards in human evolution

Yes it would make much sense from their perspective as well as the end user. If they taxed and regulated drugs you would have these benefits in no order and certainly not limited to but include

-drug use down
-drug OD down
-tax revenue up
-less resources being used ie ambulances police car
-resources adjusted to more violent crimes

The world would be a significantly better place and I hope one day the whole world can have legalized and regulated drugs. The world will be a much better and safer place for it!

I can be, but a law base should be re-worked seriously in this situation!

Of course - that way drug dealers would be normal people in shops and the streets quieter.
You don't see shady people trying to sell you beer around dark corners now, do you?

I think you are referring to sin tax law. This has been approved a long time ago. Government is already taxing everything that is harmful such as tobacco and alcohol. Well you are right, this way people would avoid buying it since the price of tobacco and alcohol will be more expensive. However, even there's sin tax law, some people are still buying tobacco and alcohol but somehow tobacco and alcohol consumers got lesser.

I meant about meth, cocaine, heroin and all other things people stuff into their systems. They still do it anyway one way or another. Why not legalize it? Make some money off of it.
