12x 6990?  Shocked

and i only want one.

edit: sorry i can't contribute anything to help you out. if i had 12 6990s i'd probably get 19" cases and a small sized rack. there's already good cooling solutions for these out there.

Are you guys saying you put 12 and 16 cards in one computer?

rigs

That could mean multiple computers with x amount of cards each, or 1 computer with 12-16 cards each...

You will be better off with a couple dozen well-placed high-CFM Delta fans.

That's what I did with my 16-card rigs.

All depends on the blade design and rpms, also you need to make sure there arnt pockets of hot air, 24 is probably too small to blow on them directly

Hi,
I want to place this over the rigs sending air right down to them. I'm wondering is 24 inches too big. I am in a garage and it's not airtight at all. Alot of the air will be recirculated by the fan but it's usually cooler anyway when the fan blows it down again at pressure isn't it?
