(The most current node list I could find is below)

Here's my "cheat-sheet" to get a working Datacoin wallet going.

Link to Windows wallet - http://sourceforge.net/projects/datacoin/files/

Download datacoin-qt-131204.zip

Unzip it (drag file onto desktop usually does it, or click the unzip icon in the folder)

Run datacoin-qt

After the wallet boots up, you'll notice that it doesn't connect to any active connections.

To fix that, go to the 'Help' tab on the top, then 'Debug window'

The 'Console' tab comes up.

At the bottom of the Console tab you can enter commands to the wallet.
We are going to add nodes. I went through this thread and others and found nodes that may be active.

type the following:

addnode 107.170.165.126 add

then hit return.

I added all of the following using the above command format:
107.170.165.126
108.61.57.85
125.135.114.73
162.243.125.211
198.12.12.83
46.4.147.38
144.76.123.194
80.74.157.31
104.131.69.82
graymines.net:4777

My wallet is now connected to 11 nodes!
Not sure which ones above are active - just know that one or more gets the wallet working.

Hope this helps my fellow Datacoin peeps!

And as of today (6/3/2015) the size of Datacoin is about 1.2 gigs. (Bitcoin is currently about 32 gigs)

Peace.

Wow AtomSea - you ARE so sexy it hurts!  Kiss

send to bter so they can fix their wallet. thx
What's wrong with dtc wallets on bter?
their wallet is off for long time now. If someone could help them get it back on would be great. No deposit/withdraw for weeks maybe months.

I've sent them a ticket about this issue.

BTW: I've updated sources and binaries with new seeds: https://github.com/datacoin-project/datacoin/releases
Windows and Mac OS binaries coming soon.

198.12.12.83
162.243.125.211

Nodes mentioned above and some other are stuck a height ~476303 . I saw this bug on my side also. The easy way to solve this is to delete subdirectories "chainstate", "blocks" and "database" in "./datacoin" and start daemon again. It synchronizes to the correct height then (597460).

Don't forget to stop daemon and to backup your wallet.dat BEFORE doing this.

I can try to debug this in case node operators having this problem will share their blockchain files (chainstate, blocks and database) and debug.log.

Guys!

Looks like Datacoin seeds are down for a long time. Here is a list of network nodes I've found. If you have also problems connecting to network - use them:

106.186.122.61:48704
108.61.57.85:4777
109.106.48.104:4777
112.14.154.98:46386
144.76.123.194:4777
158.196.209.250:57573
162.243.125.211:4777
178.66.15.47:43427
198.12.12.83:4777
[2001:41d0:2:6809::]:4777
222.223.66.189:4777"
[2a01:4f8:192:1337::2]:4777
46.4.147.38:4777
54.186.237.188:60862
54.201.144.165:41248
76.126.98.2:4777
80.74.157.31:4777
91.117.233.45:4777
94.23.229.9:4777

If you maintain 24/7 working Datacoin node - please let me know. I'll add it to this list.

BTW, anybody is working with hp14 integration to Datacoin? Let's merge useful changes together.
