If you want both of them it be controlled at the same time by your motherboard, just jumper the green wire on the connector plugged into your motherboard with the green wire on the second power supply.

The motherboard signals the power supply to turn on fully by grounding out the pin the green wire is connected to and turn off by disconnecting it from ground.

Just connect the green wire with a black one so you can start it up. I use a paperclip in the 24 pin connector, then add some tape.

Hey, I'm planning on running for HD5870's on one system,

I already have a 650W supply, so I want to use that with another one hopefully, as they are relatively cheap in comparison to 1250watt supplies,

Can somebody help!
