Hard to go wrong with that Lepa 1600...have several and they are extremely nice.

If your heart is set on the 2 psu option I would go with the Corsair 850's. I also have a couple of these and they are prob the nicest 850 watt out there. Auto fan means they only run when hot. The 2nd unit I have hooked to just 2 cards and the fan never turns on.

For using a 2nd power supply all you need is a small piece of wire to short the hot and ground. Look at the 24 pin and find the GREEN wire(usually  4th from the right when green wire is on bottom row). Connect green to black(short with a small piece of insulated wire). Fold wire and secure with black electrical tape.

Woohoo! Out of Newbie land!

Check out this PSU

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817494006

1600watts
Gold Rated
Fully Modular
Great Build Quality

I've got mine running four overclocked 7950s and about to add one more.

It has enough cords to run six 7950s and my mobo has enough slots, but I will have to wait to see the power draw from the fifth card to determine if I can add a sixth.

It's also 15% off until June 9th!

I don't think there's any sense running two PSUs unless you can find them cheap and you don't need over 1600 or so watts. The adapter to make the two PSUs work together is usually around $15-20 unless you plan on ghetto rigging it, in which case make sure you turn them on in the right order.

Hi,

I started building a rig and of course chose the wrong PSU's
Sirtec Absolute Power 1000w

I`m thinking of selling these off and getting Dual PSU's since it is cheaper this way then getting 1 massive 1500w one. i'll be using this guide for connecting them:
http://www.overclock.net/t/15751/info-can-i-use-two-power-supplies-with-one-computer

Now..first i am considering running 4x7950's on a ASrock Extreme4, but i`m keeping an open mind to get powered risers or mod them to support 5x7950 (Gigabyte WF3). i`m thinking around 280w/overclocked card should mean:
1400w+change for the motherboard/cpu/hdd

Here are the contenders:

2x750w
EVGA SuperNOVA NEX750G Gold 120-PG-0750-GR
Corsair Professional Series HX750 Gold CP-9020031
Sea Sonic X-750 SS-750KM

2x800w
Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 800W

2x850
Corsair Professional Series HX850 Gold CP-9020032

Feel free to point out flaws or psu models that would suite this purpose better
Thanks!
