Fetch.AI are proud to be featured as a ‘Project to Watch’ in the Convergence in smart cities report written in partnership with Outlier Ventures and Smart Dubai. The report outlines Dubai’s intention to make their data strategy the most forward thinking in the world. It underlines the opportunities presented by the convergence of emerging technologies such as AI, DLT and IoT to transform city services.

The report also unveils Dubai’s plans to launch ‘Decentralised Data for Dubai’, a programme that will see the creation of an open data ‘sandbox’ built using a range of decentralised technologies from Outlier Ventures ‘Convergence Stack’, potentially including Fetch.AI alongside Ocean Protocol and Sovrin Foundation.

The programme will represent the largest living group of data sets ever accessed through blockchain(s). It’s estimated that a city of Dubai’s size and complexity could be producing over 620 mil gigabytes by 2020, which will now have the potential to be connected to distributed ledger technology.
