im useing mycelium.
its been awhile but i decided that it might be worth following up when sending payments a duplicate payment was sent to a unknown address.
Provide the tx id but if the both sending addresses are yours there's possibility that the program tried to send a fee.

this happened three occasions is there a way to get them back
It the transactions are already confirm, there is no way to get it back.

how did this happen was my wallet compromised if so how.
If the program didnt sent a fee then your wallet or your computer is been comprised and it might through visit malicious site or open malicious email and not using an update wallet version etc. To sort out the problem provide the transaction Id.

Mycelium is an "HD" wallet (Hierarchical Deterministic). It also subscribes to the "no address re-use" methodology of address use/creation... so it will give you a new address every time one is used.

As LoyceV has already indicated, it is likely the "unknown" address you are seeing is a "change" address that was automatically created by your wallet for it to store any leftover amount after you send the payment. You can read more about "change" and why it happens with Bitcoin by reading these two articles:

Do you mean a part of your coins was send to a change address? Say you have 8, and want to pay 5, that means you'll get 3 back. That 3 goes to a new address that belongs to your wallet.

Can you show the transaction (or txid)?
