Maybe eBTC was a scam - but I was still grateful for the money it gave me, so I'll maybe look for airdrops of the other coins. That's very different from spending my own money on these coins.

I will never believe that somebody with PhDs from MIT is wasting his/her time with e-token airdrops.
Even if the e-token get market cap of 1M and they are having 5-10%, this is just under 6 month salary for this kind of people.

Apparently PHDs from MIT are making a bunch of lame "e" coins:

Now, our local team (We all got PhDs from MIT) are starting a new, great token.

This quote is from the eEth thread listed below. There are a ton of other threads/coins like this.

I think this is all the same person or group of people, mass producing these, they all have the same format. The users are always 0 activity users that have a name like "etheth" or "edoge".

This forum has gotten really spammy with all of the "e" coin airdrops lately. People expect something from nothing.

Here are the ones I was able to find, they were just trending on the first page, but there's probably a ton more, so spammy:

eDoge: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--2249716

eEth: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--2249802

eBch: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--2249806

eXRP: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--2244565

eLite: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--2249776

i gues they are creating these kind of coins because they want compete with ebtc which recently came out and pump instantly , i dont know if the developer of that coin is the same to these newly born "etokens" ?  i see also that there are still people who join their airdrops even they know that these tokens are suspicious and obviously scam coins.

There is no proof in that, for all we know they could be scam artists from Russia.

Finally I know that all this is a scam, some people are very passionate about this kind of coin. wasting time with foolish actions
just be tempted by the steps taken by the eBTC and all expect the same.

Best thing to do is simply to ingore them and don't spend too much thought on them.

If nobody gets involved, it dies and the creator will have wasted a lot of time.

I feel like these coins are getting promoted to fuel with gases coming from real coins with similar names. So its highly speculative decision. Nothing more. Never invest into this.

Are the revival threads continuations off the original threads that were removed over the weekend? I can't help but be confused.
