Itˇs the best to find new "unicorn(s)", and invest some of the money that you have. Not borrow, or make some loan. Just the money that you have for investment. I trade Bitcoin and others crypto, and this is crazy market. I find maybe one "unicorn", and I am very happy with it. HFT bot is rocking Smiley. Anononymity is their big power, and itˇs not trecable, thanks to Mimblewimble protocol.

Here is one article about it (and for all of you):

https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/375557

When you recognise some good ico, invest some of the money, and be patience. Iˇve invested it more than a year, and I am very patiente.

Read, if you have time, and if you donˇt like it, just pass and find another "unicorn". I find mine Wink.

I have heard several people saying "it's not too late to invest now in Bitcoin". Erik Fineman in 2011 invested $1000 in Bitcoin for $12 each Bitcoin, later in 2013 Bitcoin was trading above $1k+ he made a fortune ( Reference link )

Bitcoin in 2010 $0.09, in 2013 it spiked to $1200, may 2017 it moved past $2k, June 2020 was $9k+ and November 2021 it spiked above $60k. It's still possible to archive more hight in future and early investors will earn a fortune too.

There are some factors that affect BTC price (Like whales) but I know that any time BTC price dumps so hard, is a sign "we can buy more". A friend of mine had 5 Bitcoin back then in 2013 and he told me he was going to sell it any year Bitcoin could hit his target which was $25k, in 2014 I lost contact of him, January 2021 when Bitcoin moved pass $25k he was the first person I thought of but there was no means to hear from him.
Most persons are still speculative about the right time to invest in Bitcoin, some invest in scam Altcoin, shit coins and meme coins with the believe that it's easy to make huge profit from tokens whose price are yet not  below $1.
Some new project can promise huge staking reward, auto compounding interest and promise but they may not stand the test of time.

I  lost the asset I invested in the coins below, is better to invest in Bitcoin than some scam Altcoins.

Secondly my cousin gave me some funds to invest for her into crypto, I let her understood the risk, 14 moths now I have still been waiting and expecting to get little return from the investment but is just like waiting in vain. She (my cousin) never complained about how her asset has melted but out of sympathy and she needed money for her business, i had to repay her invested capital.   I wish I had invested that money into Bitcoin, but I learned my lesson.

Early birds are always on time, A friend of mine whom I thought about cryptocurrency decided to invest half of his salary on Bitcoin every month since 2019 and he bought up to 2.4 Bitcoin, but he sold them all last year for $58k each, he used some of the money to complete the building of his house this year. Last month he told me he bought 2 Bitcoin in the month of June for $20k each and he said his holding till $100k.
Investing early in Bitcoin is good instead of waiting too long. What do you think?

While generally, those who invested earlier can expect to enjoy better profits, there are also bull and bear markets to take into account. Someone who invested at the end of 2017 would be at the same position as someone investing now, 5 years later (assuming a person didn't sell the coins since the investment). And someone who invested a year ago would be in a much worse position now. So, actually, people can benefit much later on by choosing the timing right.
Moreover, as the op points out, it's important what one invests in. Bitcoin is one thing, while alts can be very dangerous.

I don't request loans~
Early investors simply have more room for profit, but at the same time, also carry more risks involved than late adopters, so it isn't necessarily a good thing nor is it a bad thing imo, what matters is that you're able to actually identify what to invest in, even if it was later on. Right now investing might be relatively safer compared to back then since we have instances of Bitcoin going back up from situations like this, so there's at least something to refer to. Altcoins are fine occasionally imo, but they're never for holding in the long term.

though i have a hoard from 2012 era, so im set.
(no intention to sell anytime soon nor have i sold majority on the ATH previously)

lets talk about "timing"

i see that those hoping to buy in and just wait out a future ATH to double, triple their money end up waiting along time(year+) and some dont have that patience

the thing is they hope/wished their timing is right because they just buy in when they randomly decided and hop that the multiplier of deflation will kick in within some short term timescale they also invented in their head as a deadline to sell out.. which is bad game to play

..
here is a smarter idea, to keep the patience at bay, reduce the risks and also allow you to maximise potential

dont put your whole hoard into a day trading plan.
only risk what you can afford to risk. live without.
EG if its 20% of hoard. then chose that and stick to that

i seen that taking 1%-5% day trading =365%-1825% a year(if whole hoard)
but again dont be greedy.. if you only use 20% of hoard. that last sentance % is 73%-365% profit of whole hoard because only 20% of whole hoard amount being traded/atrisk.
thus not greedy, nor risking everything. but still making good profit while you wait for deflationary cycles to move the price

I remember myself through this line.
Way back I started to introduce Bitcoin I think around the year 2017. Bitcoin is the first real deal before when I started in the cryptocurrency world. But after that, as a newbie, you get easily lured by some random altcoins so some of my Bitcoins before or hard-earned are starting to allocate on random shitcoins or altcoins, and yeah, if I just stayed on Bitcoin I could have saved a lot of profits.
You are right but for me, I knew about cryptocurrency in 2016 but started proper crypto trading or investing in 2017, and soon after that the market went into a Bull market and I actuallly invested in a few altcoins and made good profits from them because ofcause it was the bull market Smiley however, I didn't know that there was a bear market since I was just entering crypto and did lose some of those profits however with the experience in the market now, I believe Investing in Bitcoin regardless of the time but being able to hodl for a long time is what actually matters more, cos as we know now some early birds in Bitcoin are not as fortunate as we would think cos they never see Bitcoin in this position.

The OP was registered on the forum in 2011, so it seems to me that this is, on the one hand, just another in a series of stories about missed trains and, after that, wrong decisions about investing in altcoins. It is certainly not easy for someone who is an early bird in all of this to stop regretting that he made bad decisions, but there is not much point in going back so far into the past because nothing can be changed there.

The early adopters were key in guiding Bitcoin on the right path, and we should be grateful to them for that - because back then profit was obviously something that most people didn't think about. Those who hunt for profit can say today that they are in the same position as those at the end of 2017 when it comes to the price, so we can say that they got an opportunity to go back even 5 years in the past. I personally would be grateful for such an opportunity, and I would not be too greedy and wait for an even more favorable moment.

As the saying goes, the best time to buy bitcoin is today, the second best time? yesterday.

So I do agree that there is early birds, of course it's always good to be ahead and buying cheap bitcoin maybe in its infancy. But how more of them do you think didn't sold with the price hits $100? or just lost everything.

And just like your friend, he had a lot of money, so what did he do, make more money out of bitcoin, rinse and repeat.
Just a simple formula but it works all the time.

Investing early in Bitcoin is good instead of waiting too long. What do you think?

What's better is buying at the right timing and not FOMO-ing during a bull season. Last year during that cycle, many people were buying bitcoin above $50k thinking that it was still cheap and because of the $100k speculation price. Now that we are in bear season and it is ranging between $20k-25k, people call it a scam.

Investing early can be very subjective. The price of bitcoin last year at $30k above can still be early if we are looking its price after 5 years or more. People that bought last year near its peak are still early if they will hodl it until the next market cycle.

However, I foresee a situation where; Bitcoin becomes less stable as it absorbs more investors and adoption grows leading to price stability. And then, a new demand would arise from stability, opening the door wider to a different type of investors and the potential for more rapid growth i.e, volatility.

not quite

there is a defined window. based on economic logic, fundamentals
the price will sit/bounce/wiggle somewhere in this window, but this window wont just go back to 100X scale wide

that window is about a 6X from bottom to top ($15k-$90k)

however when things like proper ETF's are open to pension funds then yes there will be more 'buys' meaning more volatility within this window. meaning less stagnations of sitting at a $20k+- level for a couple months. and instead go from Y to y*2 or y*3 more often within that window

pension funds and ETF wont be buying millions of coins in one day($20bill+)
they will be trading randomly different days different portfolio's. where by you wil see the ups and downs happen more often

it can spark a shift of the window by the trades shifting the profits of other outside fundamentals that affect the window. where by the window can shift
to EG
$25k-$140k
$35k-$190k
but thats a secondary slow effect. to the ups and downs within the $15k-$90k window this quarter

Most early adopter didn't dare to hold Bitcoin for a long time because they're just like us, when the price is steady at x price and Bitcoin make a new ATH that the price higher 10 times from the beginning, they will sell their coins since they think Bitcoin price wouldn't reach higher than that.

Now Bitcoin price is currently at $20K and the previous ATH was at $69K, when the price already hit $69K again, I believe many people will sold their coins. Most people predict Bitcoin will reach $100K price and many people will start to sell since it's already met their target.

This will never end and anyone who start to buy Bitcoin at any date, month, or year are never late!

Recently i have this mindset on Altcoin or any newly birth project that has not stabilize or even have good intriguing use cases making me paying less attention to those coin, maybe i can look into few like ETH, BNB, Polygon ect. Any other altcoin or newly birth projects are steal the little funds you have save for the years of being in cryptospace. I have sold all my altcoin to bitcoin and i think is more safer that holding altcoin without any further developments.

@Op I would never advise anyone buy any shitcoin or meme coin because i know too well that is such person is not crypto-oriented you would be likely tagged as a scammer for making him/her lose their money. I don't even accept any investment offer from friends and relatives who don't know about cryptocurrency formation.

Not all Bitcoin early birds hold Bitcoin long enough to sell it above $100 for 1 Bitcoin. Same for higher prices like $1,000, $10,000, $20,000 to $69,000.

Many of early adopters lost their Bitcoin because they did not consider it seriously enough and lost their private keys. Some of them sold Bitcoin they have at too cheap price than now.

Selling 10,000 Bitcoin for two pizzas and selling Bitcoin for some small stuffs were stories years ago. Now you can read mistakes they made, and hold your Bitcoin better than them. Then 10 years later you will see many people regret that they sell their Bitcoin in 2022. Because next 10 years, Bitcoin price would be higher than $69,000 and of course much more expensive than $20,000.

Honestly there is tiny to no hope for the Altcoins which are being generated these days. Any fresher coder with basic knowledge of blockchain can start publishing their own coins and forming huge team and portraying as if they own big company. These scams are alarming and that’s why many peeps fall for the trap now and then. Bitcoin is obviously King of all and the only way it can scam us the day last “two” computers are turned off. Rest is assured, until that point the trade will keep happening, peeps will kee investing and liquidity for bitcoin gonna be ever green.

Investing early in Bitcoin is good instead of waiting too long. What do you think?
If you can avoid waiting too long, then yes it is good to invest early as you have greater chances of making more returns on the money you have invested, but not everyone will hear about bitcoin at the same time, and the same way not everyone will trust bitcoin at the same time, but whenever one finally decides to trust bitcoin and invest in it, they should not think that it is then late, because the more they are reluctant, the more time they waste, so whichever time one gets to know about bitcoin is a perfect time to invest, they can look at the charts and history for themselves, and every single time bitcoin outperforms expectations in the long period.

yes early adopters got 100x within a year. where things are more like 10x in 2-4 years.
which in a decade may become more lower/stable increments
You made a good illustration.
The volatility has been steadily decreasing over the last couple of years as Bitcoin became more adopted and popular. This decline is expected to continue over the next couple of years, heralding a period where Bitcoin is considered a low risk investment and a perfect fit for a store of value along with its other qualities.

However, I foresee a situation where; Bitcoin becomes less stable as it absorbs more investors and adoption grows leading to price stability. And then, a new demand would arise from stability, opening the door wider to a different type of investors and the potential for more rapid growth i.e, volatility.

if you invested $1000 in 2010 ($0.32)
and sold in 2011 hype  ($32.00)  100x = $100k ($99k profit)

if you bought $1000 in 2012 ($12)
and sold in 2013 hype  ($1200)  100x = $100k ($99k profit)

if you bought $1000 in 2014 ($200)
and sold in 2017 hype  ($20,000)  100x = $100k ($99k profit)

if you bought $1000 in 2015 ($600)
and sold in 2018 ($6,000)  10x = $10k ($9k profit)

if you bought $1000 in 2016 ($700)
and sold in 2019 ($7,000)  10x = $10k ($9k profit)

if you bought $1000 in 2018 ($6,000)
and sold in 2021 hype  ($60,000)  10x = $10k ($9k profit)

if you bought $1000 in 2019 ($7,000)
and sold in 2021 ($70,000)  10x = $10k ($9k profit)
..
if you bought $1000 in 2020 ($9,000)
and sold..in.. well im gonna guess 2022 ($90,000)
..
as for 2021 low of $17k
there is no chance of a $170k price in 2021*. so you might have to wait a couple years

but a $90k
*window(based on the mining window of fundemental low hihg costs possibility of an economic window price sits withn) there is a chance of a $90k in the next year)
so those buying at the lows of 2020 may get returns next year.

..
yes early adopters got 100x within a year. where things are more like 10x in 2-4 years.

I have heard several people saying "it's not too late to invest now in Bitcoin". Erik Fineman in 2011 invested $1000 in Bitcoin for $12 each Bitcoin,

Yes I also believe that saying. But just that everything has purpose and time. When the time which is allocated to you has reached, you must excel in life and at that period whenever you do, you succeed. A 60 years old man went to school and joined primary one. So nothing is too late but your seriousness is the main thing. I believed it was not only Erik Fineman that was Invested on bitcoin but he wad one of the serious once among them in the year 2011. Because from the 2011 conference people were many there. Early Birds can make profit if it is focus strength to the seashore but if it is distracted along the way like many on the way then it becomes story on it part and there is a saying that, "if I would have known".

Most people who started early also misused the coin, although in any good thing that is coming to one's life there is always a mistake. And one thing is to Know the mistake and another is to correct the mistake.

Yes we can say that early birds have made profits but can't say surely about them also as many who invested at say $1 also sold it for normal return while others who have hold it for some time has managed to gain profits. We can say that if you invest now also and hold it for say 5-6 years then definitely you would also make a fortune out of it depending on how much you have in your wallets safely.

You don't necessarily have to be early, just be wise and try to form your own opinion of the market even a wrong one instead of listening to what others try to convince you is correct. For example not so long ago when price was stuck in $3k range you could find countless posts on this forum and elsewhere trying to convince people that price should fall down to $1k-$1.5k. They drew all kinds of lines on their silly charts. We know what happened next when price shot up 2x in no time and soon after it headed for $70k.
People are always busy in saying they miss the opportunity or it's gonna be dead so we need to ignore them as much possible and focus on our own investment strategies and invest in btc.

As for altcoins, they have never been good for investment. However, they are excellent for short term very high risk trading strategies to take advantage of the pump and dumps they have.
But most of the time whales are taking advantage of this situation because they can manipulate the altcoins pump dump through their investments and when they gain profits out of it they dump these tokens and people who have invested in it are left with pennies in their wallet. So even if you get small profits out of them cash out it immediately because they can dump anytime.
