Forget about trying to earn with Steemit upvotes!
I have been there for a while, with a bit of Steem Power and using bots. I couldn't go much over $10 per post.
And this was when Steem was high! Right now it's pretty bottom. My vote only worth $0.01 now, it was $0.10 last December.
This upvote community is a good idea, but if no one power up their account this upvotes won't worth it.
Meanwhile I found other useful way of earning with Steemit.
There are a few bounties that reward for your upvotes and resteems.
The rewards are quite good since the community is still small. Way better than Twitter bounties.

It's a good idea but you need to have a whale to upvote you, otherwise you can have 1k followers with 0 steem power, therefore worth nothing.
