Actually Localbitcoins don't sell bitcoins themselves, but people like you and me put up their coins for sale on the site.

Is there a reason why I cant reply to his thread ?

You should be able to reply to the thread as this is after all in the newbie section. The only issue you might be facing is that you have to wait about ~5-10 minutes between each posts as part of the anti-spam rules in place until your account develops enough activity to post on a regular basis without time constraints.

Can you see a reply button on his thread ?  strange how I can reply to this thread and not his..

Hi all

as the title says does anyone know the cheapest and easiest way to sell one BTC here in the UK ?

I bought 4 back in March this year from bitbargain.co.uk and whilst i'm pleased at the value increase i'm not liking bitbargain's application charge of 0.4BTC in order to sell, is there a cheap and easy alternative ?

theres a user called Projects hes pretty good and online most of the time

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/buying-btc-paying-cash-in-your-bank-uk-faster-payments-more-worldwide-150537

you send first and hes got loads of ways to pay you

Thanks, that might be an option although it does sound a bit like a leap of faith..

hes got good rep so hes trusted. and hes alot easier to deal with than any exchange, if you have the coin he will buy it

You could buy silver and gold jewellery with them from a UK company at http://www.amandassilverboutique.com

Not easy, but try find someone on localbitcoins.

Or trade here using reputable member or escrow
It can be really easy. Took me one hour from  contacting the seller until the deal was done. All about the dealer.

You could always try: https://www.coingator.com/

I think you would have to break it into a few transactions.
