This is the best thing that a government should do with regards to regulating crypto. They should take some time to study how the technology works for them to regulate it properly without any bias and possible abuse to companies or individuals that are into cryptos.

I think problem lies in translating crypto language to your average joe who has never worked with crypto in his entire life. Most people are clueless how crypto works so I can understand why regulating it would be pain in the neck for the government as it requires educating people who are not familiar with crypto and it will take time.

I can't really tell which is which for I'm not a European. Haven't really experienced and witnessed how the government function in your area. The article just caught my attention with regards to them trying to give ample time in understanding crypto before providing or implementing regulations.

I am not that optimistic. From my point of view, Eastern Europe does again what it does every time: do nothing, but pack that into nice words.
Eastern Europe will wait and see what the "big boys" do (although Germany signal is powerful enough imho) and then - quite late - will act.
