Thanks! I see, bad experience with .io! I would love to acquire ecash.com, but it's $60K. Will need an investor first.

It's not about the .io it's just that .io makes it more obvious. I don't know if people will ever trust their money again in an online wallet that has control over their private keys.

Don't mind but Tradefortress said the same thing. I doubt people are going to trust these random cold wallet sites.

It's 100 times better to store funds in a paper wallet than on a web wallet, atleast you don't have to wait for 12 hours to access your funds and you also don't have to worry about site getting hacked or something else.

I can't help but think of inputs.io and how that ended.  Roll Eyes

Yeah , the best advice for marketing would be to go for , ecash.sx not .io.
People will immediately associate you with inputs.io and that's not a good start.

I just spoke to the dev of https://coinsafe.io/ (coincidence)
and you should seriously get rid of the .io domain too.

The mere mention of an io domain is sending me goosebumps.
Good luck and I love Amsterdam.

I could try branding as www.ecashio.com, which I also acquired.

Yes I agree, but Inputs.io kept a hot wallet on the web server. I will not do that, it will be a watch-only armory wallet. Transactions signed on the offline computer.

Hi guys!

I need your help. I'm starting a venture for crypto-banking services at https://ecash.io. The idea is to launch wallet and merchant services for Bitcoin. Please give me your feedback, to build the BEST Bitcoin wallet online. FREE cold wallet storage service. It works like this:

Cold wallet features:
  • No contract, no KYC, no AML needed (storage only)
  • Bitcoin Armory webserver, i.e. with wathing-only wallets (armoryd; https://github.com/etotheipi/BitcoinArmory)
  • Watch-only wallets have no private keys - they cannot be used to send BTC, only to generate addresses and receive BTC

Account security:
  • username/password
  • 2FA / Google Authenticator (recommended)
  • Security questions upon each failed login attempt (optional)
  • Email confirmation required for withdrawals (required)
  • SMS text message notification for withdrawals via www.twilio.com (optional - your actual phone number is hidden, not shown in the account)
  • 12-24 hour withdrawal delay

If you want to withdraw 10 BTC, this happens: login with 2FA -> request withdrawal -> confirm via email -> receive SMS notification -> wait 12 hours.

Remember, this is a cold (offline) wallet service. We sign transactions on an offline computer, not connected to the internet. I will launch this early December 2013. Next step is a secure hot wallet (online wallet), and merchant services.

In early 2014 I will register as a Money Transmitter Company in The Netherlands / Amsterdam. Registered merchants can then accept BTC and receive EUR, GBP or USD payouts. P.S. eCash.io will not be an exchange, instead we will work with Bitstamp.

Please tell me your ideas to improve my service. Hope to launch very soon.
