I wonder why people can't just live and let live. And believe it or not I'm not saying this because I'm wearing a signature. If you don't focus on being stuck up, it's not that hard to find good threads/posts. If everyone took themselves seriously, it would be a pretty dull place here, you need a bit of fluff to take the edge off.
The vast majority of people in society are not happy with their day jobs but they do it anyway for the money. You could say that these people are all spammers because if you're not involved in what you do your output/efficiency can never be maximized. The problem is that if you remove all inefficient workers, CEO's will have to become acquainted with their inner janitors. So you see, fluff has to exist.

Well, thats a bad news if they will implement that. But theyre the owner and we are just users here. We cant go against their will. I admit im just register because of signature campaigns. But im trying my best posting some quality post here. Maybe the problems are on the campaign managers which allowing spammer to enter their campaign.

I would agree with removing signature campaigns because I can't see significant benefits from them, because it is required a lot of work to gain few coins, and most posters are not really interested in sharing valuable ideas. Perhaps this forum would lose members, but would gain quality.

I don't remember with 100% accuracy but I think it's 777 campaign manager who was negative trust rated by a member on DT until he takes care of spammers in his campaign ^^

dunno about 777 campaign but yobit got a negative trust from hilarious for a while and secondstrade admin got a warning
should say that it didn't really 100% fixed the problem in both sides but it helped to reduce the spam by definitely banning the spammers from the respective campaign

I wanted to register an army of socks to register for sig campaigns!

looking in the mitchett topic i find few opportunities to join signatures campaigns, the old ones are full, the opened one offers a little amount with many restrictions, yobit that accepts everyone is full too Wink
don't see why people would create new account or buy them to join sig/camp nowadays?
in the other hand prohibiting sigcamp would have a dramatic effect in btctalk imo, would say a fall of 30-50% of posts in the short-medium term and the worst scenario another forum(s) could take the lead in long term (hard but possible)

Agreed on all that.
Much harder restrictions are already in place, and new campaigns are much harder on quality post.
Even old campaigns are watched by old forum members and sometime called to take care of spam! I don't remember with 100% accuracy but I think it's 777 campaign manager who was negative trust rated by a member on DT until he takes care of stammers in his campaign ^^

Members are already chasing spammers all around forums and I don't remember any campaign accepting new members without conditions.  That's also why selling of accounts is no longer a huge activity here.

As i checked last time there are right now probaly like atleast 50 free spots or something and with time there are new ones opening up.
Older accounts/higher rankings earn more money - that is why sig campaigns are so attractive for account farmers.

About the size of payment:
It is like nothing to us in western industry nations but in nations like india and similiar which have 1$ or less daily wage it should be a lot.

Well all this is just discussion for now.
Nothing has been proposed and it is just not up to one moderator but all of them and Theymos on the site to approve of having them totally removed from the site all together.

Well, probaly majority of mods are in for it else they wouldnt even bother to discuss it - in the view of how much it would impact the forum traffic.

In the end it will be a decision of theymos but i doubt he would go against the users and mods.

just in case it is already decided, anyone knows if there are other forums that offer sig campagins?

How do you stop signature spam when paid signatures are allowed?

Removing signatures altogether is something we're also discussing. Personally, I'm at the point where I think that's going to be the only solution to stop all the bullshit and hassle that comes along with having them but we're trying to find a workaround too that suits everyone. We know removing signature campaigns is going to have a drastic impact on the traffic here and to do so or enforce fully we would probably have to just remove signatures and avatars altogether for everyone otherwise people would likely still try get around it. I've long said signature campaigns could help improve the post quality of the forum but that would only happpen if every campaign only accepted quality posters and didn't just pay anyone and everyone regardless of post quality and ways to force campaigns to do that is being discussed also.

Ugh - I think we are fucked. And just before vacation time where I wanted to register an army of socks to register for sig campaigns!

What do my fellow spammers think about?
Should we unite like #occupy and stuff and fight together for our hard earned sig spam money?

The end game is upon us!

Zionist at their best!!!!
