Brazil, Russia, China, India are amongst the countries in the brics. Well basically any group a country join is aimed at improving relationships with other countries for the betterment on the country in all aspects and I believe this is also amongst such groups.
But the issue I have is not about the group but actually the leaders, naturally this sort of group can really be beneficial but we have leaders who does not have the interest of the nation at heart and I think they would first look out for their personal interest.

Nigeria never dey join BRICS yet, we are not yet a full member of the organization, we are just a partner country in the organization, though as we be partner nation, e go help us to dey trade easily with member nations of BRICS and other benefits wey follow am too.

That said, i no too believe in the success of BRICS as an organization, I read that we have plans to join as a full member in three years or so, make we dey watch sha, but now wey Trump be president, he promised to raise tariffs up to a 100% for BRICS nations, i no know if him go do am and i also no know how our country go approach the matter.

For now we can't be sure weda the joining of BRICS by Nigeria go cause any thing as backfire to the country because if country like South Africa go fit put body as member how much more Nigeria wey be the giant of Africa. Nah just about leaders interest and am sure say nah wetin make South Africa join them and if we get president wey buy the philosophy behind the BRICS creation then we go find out country as member.

Brics is a coalition of countries that are loyal to Russia. If Nigeria have indicated interest to join brics it means they want to be allies with Russia. Joining forces with Russia means Nigeria govt will be cutting ties with the British government and all her Allies and this will provoke the British govt to sanction Nigeria. Nigeria as country are solely depending on the west for almost everything and most of our rich and powerful leaders have billions of dollars stash in the west. I think the Nigeria govt should work on her economy  before joining brics if they want to survive sanctions from the British govt and America.

Initially, when I see this ur post at first, I think say na something robust, something more educative written down already, something sharing knowledge, but as I open am, I was actually disappointed because no data or information inside, so I come dy wonder why you go use such a title when the post no get any content, that's by the way.

Then as of the economic implications Nigeria may have joining Brics, honestly speaking I no see anything way go happen to Nigeria now way never happen before, even now wey we no join Brics, now wey our colonial master dy happy with us, The country good? No.
So in my own opinion, even if the west cut chain with Nigeria due to say we join Brics anytime in the future, nothing much go change because definitely when old door closes, new door go open for we to align well with the eastern nation and look if e go better pass now, because even now wey the western nations dy with us, we still dy suffer, so what's the need to dy fear to try new things that can better our lives tomorrow?

So in my own view, I no see any implications, because it would be a big loss to our colonial master if then lose us, by just cut chain with us due to say we join brics, because they have more to lose aligning with us than what we stand to gain, and don't forget that we can even get what they are offering us with this Brics nations, so my brother, Nigeria joining Brics is not a bad idea.

I no too sabi wetin brics dey about but from the little I know our colonial masters no approve of am. E go better make our leaders no go do something wey go backfire on Citizens at the end of the day if things no go as planned. Even though we no explicitly dey for G7, at least we still get small cover for there.

Brics is a group of emerging economies with similar goals and vision with the aim of cooperating among members for the purpose of economic strengthening Brics is more of a rival to the G7 countries which has much influence on the affairs of the world
