Why do you say so?
Maybe because it is NOT a cryptocoin but a regulated one, a serious alternative to Bitcoin et al. ?
Have you visited the web http://ecucoin.yolasite.com ?
If you have any questions, please ask.

https://www.community-exchange.org/terms.asp?xid=ecuc this is the website.
It requires me to write details about me. This is scary. The reason why we love bitcoin is simply because of anonymity and it is decentralized. I don't want people to share my personal information and i also don't want to trust this website.
I thought this is like ripple. But this is worse.
A better alternative would be a qt wallet sync with account in the website, therefore the wallet is the account log in... and when we do transactions it will automatically add/deduct from our qt wallet. Therefore i would not need to worry about my money be frozen. I have a gox phobia now.... soo.. yeah...
OK, I repeat: ECU is NOT A CRYPTOCURRENCY but a REGULATED and CENTRALIZED one. It's clear in the header.
If you are looking for a new cryptocoin, this is not. So just move to other topic, don't waste your time in this.
As long as it's regulated coin, yes, you have to identify yourself before us (it's like opening a bank account) but you will be anonymous before third parties (except to us as administrators of the coin) because you can use a pseudonym or alphanumeric ID as your name in the ECU net.
We try to conciliate anonymity in your usual operations with identification in case criminal acts are carried on (by you or AGAINSt you, so it's a way to protect you against frauds, hackers, scams, etc).
If you're looking for FULL anonymity in your operations, amount in your wallet, etc, this coin is not for you.
That's why we ask all of you to CAREFULLY READ ALL the Terms & Conditions, to avoid misrepresentations. We are translating them to English (they are still part in Spanish, but an online translator can do the work to understand them).
We will back up all the amounts of each account and movements from time to time, so in case of need, and if the webpage crashes, CES closes (like Mt.Gox), etc nobody will loose his money, because a new page with the same client's data will be created again in a few days.
