If you think I tagged that account to hurt Jim, you are wrong..

No I asked questions about him, because some serious people lost their money, in projects where "Jim Blasko" and "Other of his supporters" were involved.

Voxelus https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.12865268 http://www.voxelus.com/ (Dead now)

Unbreakablecoin (UNB) https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.32262186 (Dead now)

Eboost https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-eboost-the-trusted-gamer-coin-unofficial-announcement-97-loss-1630351 http://www.eboost.gg/ (Dead now)

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-eboost-the-trusted-gamer-coin-unofficial-announcement-97-loss-1630351

My name, eddie13, was even on that website for some time as a "supporter" because I helped with reddit and the unbreakable auctions sites n stuff..

Thank you for that info. Now I know that accusing someone of stealing (Hijacking) someone’s account without any proof is allowed on bitcointalk.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53303749

Also I received some info about Jim Blasko and his "alias"

So thanks you all once again and I am locking this topic.

That thread is from 2017. Why are you bringing it up now ?

This account https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/jimblasko-288712

Jim Blasko, a crypto OG, His account has been taken by an unknown person.. I noticed earlier due to some posts from it that obviously did not come from Jim himself..

I have been in contact with Jim externally and he confirms it is stolen..

Unbreakablecoin (UNB) (Dead now)

Disclaimer: Their isn't really anything important to read here.. Just a rant..

Yes.. Are you surprised that an ancient Bitcoin clone coin is dead?
Ironically Unbreakablecoin was basically broken by CoinWarz, or whatever coin profitability switching pools, when UNB pumped and became the most profitable coin in the world to mine...
All of the miners switched to it and just started flying through blocks, through a couple difficulty retargets (long retarget spacing), then leaving an absolutely insane difficulty for the chain to keep going on.. We are talking like maybe a few blocks a week after the big miners got done raping it, which I don't really blame them for..

I lived that pump, there with Jim, one of the most exciting times in my crypto career, it even included drama with the infamous DCGirl, and some of the best paid trolls FUDding I have ever seen..
Actually, I think the UNB pump is what made me my first full Bitcoin (daytrader)..

Jim said he would not sell into the pump, and he did not, but in hindsight he probably should have just dumped his hoard of UNB on it..

This was directly after the big XPY scam, I lived that pump too, I witnessed the famous "$20 wall", and traded the massive volatility that it created.. Got some good trades in for sure.. I wasn't holding any XPY when the wall went up, unluckily because I probably bought and sold it 10 times already that day, but as soon as the $20 wall fell I flipped the spread VERY good a few times, I will never forget..

Directly after that XPY huge scam everyone was really fed up with lying cheating scamming DEVs which led to the massive UNB pumps basically for "honest DEV, honest coin" as an opposite reaction to what just happened to XPY..
Here in hindsight I was probably just a naive shill, but I was a UNBeliever as it was called..

But the pumps and resulting mining profitability basically broke UNB after that..

I think you can still get the wallet at http://unbreakablecoin.com/ and blocks still might be moving ever so slowly, because I don't think Jim ever took all of his personal hash off of it.. My name, eddie13, was even on that website for some time as a "supporter" because I helped with reddit and the unbreakable auctions sites n stuff..

Soon after these times, shitcoins were flooding in faster than you could count them, and I lost most of my interest in any "new" coins, because they were 99.999% scams or plain shit.. A lot of incredibly high inflation POS coins and such..

Cryptsy then crashed..

I don't know a lot about whatever other coins Jim has been involved with sense then, because I became uninterested, but I basically think that after this he mostly just created altcoins for customers, DEVd coins/blockchains for projects, some of which may not be 100% clean, but I don't think Jim would have intended anything bad.. When you work with a lot of different higher profile people in the crypto world for years you are bound to pick up some fleas.. I know Bruno was on his ass about something but I don't know all of it..

If you think I tagged that account to hurt Jim, you are wrong..

I really miss hanging out in the trollbox with Jim and wish he was still around..
I don't think crypto will ever be the same, and for me that was the "golden era" of crypto, or atleast my crypto career..
These days I am just a washed up daytrader yearning for old times, when I could and did trade almost every exchange I heard about, but their has never been anything like the Cryptsy trollbox.. Tried polo, trollbox was shit.. Never even heard of KYC back then.. I basically came to Bitcointalk as a refugee, read my oldest posts if you haven't already..
Had high hopes for TUXexchange but they threw in the towel because honest guys can't get ahead in crypto anymore it seems..

So there is some backstory I enjoyed reminiscing about just now..

You didn't get the answers you were looking for in the other 2 threads in which you have been trying to use this against me?

"Jim Blasko" - real person, real name
"jimblasko" -  stolen account

Jim Blasko - real person - told me, in a personal conversation, that the jimblasko account has been stolen..
Because I contacted him, just like I said I would in my rating, when I noticed the chinglish..

Not only me..
At the time that he became aware of the loss of access, Jim told me on the Bittrex slack as well.

I'll leave my opinion about EDDIE13 out of this but I don't really see the problem with his 'accusation'. I'm not saying a witchhunt should ensue but bringing it to the public attention is a good thing. From what I've seen that account went from posting in proper English to posting in (very) broken English. It's no proof but that definitely points towards the possibility of a new owner.

Is accusing someone of stealing (Hijacking) someone’s account without any proof legal allowed on bitcointalk?

The word "legal" pertains to law as it is legislated and litigated.  It doesn't apply here because we don't have any official rules, therefor no applicable "law."  Accusing someone (or an account) of having done something is allowed, obviously it's done all the time.  An accusation may be right or it may be wrong, and is not grounds for action.  It's just that, an accusation.  Leaving a review for someone based on an accusation is also allowed, trust feedback is not moderated.  Reviews are merely an expression of one's opinion.

Eddie13 didn't do anything wrong in that post you dug up from 2 years ago.  In fact, he did the right thing to warn the community about his suspicion.  That doesn't mean we all need to believe eddie13's suspicion, but he felt it necessary to warn the community about what he believes to be a compromised account that may be mistaken for a trusted member of the community.  I don't know about you, but I appreciate that eddie13 shared his suspicion.

Should we believe only the words of someone without any signed massages, screenshots of correspondence, e.t.c...?

That depends on who the "someone" is, and the words they have offered.  In this case I do believe eddie13.  He presents circumstantial evidence (which I find to be compelling,) and leaves the conclusions for the community to make.  He doesn't seem to have anything to gain by making the accusation, and given his personality, I have no reason to question his judgement.

But what have you done here?  You created a self-moderated thread to draw attention to eddie13's judgement.  I'm thinking you did this because you are upset with eddie13 for calling your actions into question.  So now you've dug up a 2-year-old post by eddie13, in an attempt besmirch his reputation.  Do you see how this is very likely to back-fire on you, and cause folks to question your judgment?

So do you have proof or do you just not trust eddie13?

I just asked a question. Regarding my trust, it is only YOU who is on my Distrusts list.

It should be noted that the OP dug up this 2-year-old thread because eddie13 called him out on something else, i.e. this is retaliatory in nature.

As for the account hack, here is what I think:

There is circumstantial proof (change in posting style), no dispute from the account owner, and I don't see how making this up would benefit eddie13. Therefore I see no reason to doubt it. If you have proof to the contrary please share it in the other thread.

So do you have proof or do you just not trust eddie13?

"Legal" is probably not the right words, but as far as I know this is allowed.

It depends:
if you trust the person, then yes.
If you don't trust the person: then no.

Example: I trust this person without further evidence.

eddie13 https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/eddie13-580327 started a topic where he is claiming the following.

"Jim Blasko, a crypto OG, His account has been taken by an unknown person.. I noticed earlier due to some posts from it that obviously did not come from Jim himself..

"I have been in contact with Jim externally and he confirms it is stolen.."

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.25044429

Of course some users asked for proofs

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.25050661

But 'eddie13's answer was.

"You got me, I don't readily have any proof".. but he changed his posting style.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.25051619

I have a very simple question.

Is accusing someone of stealing (Hijacking) someone’s account without any proof legal on bitcointalk?

Should we believe only the words of someone without any signed massages, screenshots of correspondence, e.t.c...?
