The surge of interest in Yoruba language study in Asia has led us to question whether we are focusing on the right aspects. Interestingly, in Europe, Indian teachers are now offering private classes to teach Yoruba, which has become a profitable venture as many Nigerians residing there want their children to learn the language, which they have lost touch with.

Approving won't be the issue, getting back up and enforcement will be the issue. Here in Nigeria how many person dey ready to learn other language except when them dey live for the area. Here in Nigeria how many person even dey interested for other language.

The only thing be say Nigeria na loved country, and this other people wan learn things wey fit further strengthen our diplomatic ties.  Yoruba for China go dey possible if their government make am compulsory for school. Na de starting we dey sha , make we dey see how e go turn out.

Na good thing.

This is remarkable. I have always assumed that China is inward looking and they focus maily on their local language and maybe English. If they were more open to other languages, I bet their local social media variants will be competing internationally with YouTube, Twitter and Instagram the way TikTok is making a buzz.

I worked with three professors who had the opportunity to study the language in the US. This is the product of our efforts after three years. I will be going to China in September to test-run the book.
