I follow the project from the beginning I start to the end ico take more than three months, because sometimes in the calculation and the division takes too long.

Yes, agree because we don't know how long it will take to release the real product and everything will be in developing situation until they start implementing the real product. For startup company it will take time to get settled.

It really depends on the ICO you are joining, with hundreds of ICOs available in the market most of them will not be profitable, we must research and picked the best ICOs, one of the determinants is the team members. If the ICO easily reaches hard cap it is most likely to be profitable once it get listed in major exchange,

I think after ico will be very beneficial if the coin is much in the interest by people. then the price of the coin will increase dramatically. but the hard way is how to choose ico that much in demand by people

It completely depends on the company and its credibility how far it is attracting the community because we don't when the price start increasing. If you believe the company, then the choice is your, when to sell it and how long to hold it.

if it has reached hardcap and success then after the end of ico any advantage we will achieve. but successful projects and reaching hardcap we better hold up for several months. because the profit will be doubled.

I bet he means on how long do he have to wait until an ICO will become profitable or will get listed to an exchange.

Most of the ICOs are taking 3-6 months before getting listed to an exchange and following with the road map they are following. It's profitable when it's get listed to an exchange so that those investors that has that coin can dump it accordingly.

Maybe you are right. But I disagree with you about exchanges. The time it takes usually depends on how much the ico can spent. For example cryptopia exchange asks more than 15 btc in their coin. And hitbtc they ask about 25 btc for listing. Dude those pricies just to much.

How long does it take for an ICO to be profitable?

Its always depends on the project, there are some ICO's that can be profitable in just a short period of time and some are for long term. You just need to know if the ICO that you invested is completely good and having a good potential to be able to earn more profit from it.

it depends on ico because not all ICOs are profitable you will lost money if you invest in all ICOs so you should pick carefully and the most profitable icos  nowadays is high tps blockchains  Cheesy or ICOs that shilled by ian shillina, those ICOs will do x2 just after the launch.

In most of the projects you will never get any profits after the ICO because the price will fall after when it hit exchange so it is hard for many tokens to recover after that bust some projects will give good profits in less than 6 months too so it all depends on the quality of the project.

why not?  Op is only asking about when he can get a profit, i think he can instantly get a profit after the coin hits on an online exchange because that is the only way that a coin can get a price ( no matter how small or big it is ) .

I think most ico will end up two to three months before their project ends and after this process they will also list their coins immediately to any online exchange that they prefer .  i guess you will also need to wait this long in order to earn a profit from them.

It actually depends on how profitable the project is too. But if you are asking how long the token/coin will be listed on the exchanges that depends on what exchange site is trying to get into because there are some exchanges who have certain requirements and if that token/coin did not meet the qualifications then it wont be listed and move on to another exchange site.

Often the profit from ICO depends on many factors, of which the most important are:
1: The idea of the project is pragmatic and is believed by investors.
2: Time tokens or coins are listed on exchanges after the ICO (as soon as possible and ideally when listed on major exchanges).

I would like to introduce you to an upcoming ICO project. Their ideas are very good and they plan to list on the exchanges within 1 month after the ICO.
Here are some details about the project:

                                        Mammoth platforms ICO

                                                            ABOUT
The Mammoth is an innovative payment network and a new kind of money.
Mammoth uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks.
Managing transactions and the issuance of Mammoth tokens is carried out collectively by the network.

                  WEBSITE - WHITEPAPER - GitHub - TWITTER - ANN - TELEGRAM

MMT TOKEN
Token standard: ERC20
Address token: 0xeB01fe453348e95E02ec06ec20F0B701971976FC
Token Symbol: MMT
Decimals: 18
Total supply: 1 000 000 000 MMT
Block Explorer: https://etherscan.io/address/0xeb01fe453348e95e02ec06ec20f0b701971976fc

Why Mammoth Platform?
"To date, cryptocurrency has yet to gain mainstream adoption. The last barriers to mass market adoption will be removed when cryptocurrencies become embedded into everyday commerce.

Mammoth PAY vision is to create a globally accessible alternative to traditional banking, allowing you to store your money safely, access it instantly and transact with it anywhere, in any currency including crypto by using the MMT token, right from your smartphone.

In order for users of the MMT wallet to transact in real-time, the Mammoth solution will be integrated into the digital multi-currency wallet. This functionality can only be accessed with a MMT token. The MMT token will be used to pay for the operating cost of setting up the Data channel. Because MMT tokens can change in value, the price per transaction is calculated similarly to how gas prices are on Ethereum.

Data channels are a technique for making off-chain transactions with the same security  guarantees as  an onchain operation. Data channels allow us to conduct blockchain interactions as if they were being conductedon-chain, but require only that two or more users exchange information with each other."

How long does it take for an ICO to be profitable?

I think you are asking how long will it take for the ICO token listing on the exchange ...
most projects will list their token on exchanges in 1-2 months after ICO,  and then you can buy or sell them and get profit or lose your money !

We don't know how long they will take for listing in the exchanges after the ICO. I have seen many ICO's listing them in exchanges with in a month but some potential coins are taking more than 2 to 3 month to list the coin in exchanges.

I'm not sure what you mean under "profitable" .

Most of the ICOs are taking 3-6 months before getting listed to an exchange and following with the road map they are following. It's profitable when it's get listed to an exchange so that those investors that has that coin can dump it accordingly.
But this is not always been the case that happen on to each investor into an investor where he cant really be sure if it would really be profitable to him when those coins hits up on exchange and been said earlier by some member on previous page that there are really instances do happen where price of tokens drops below the ico price and these things do really happen and i have seen it for how many times. How investors would able to gain that way? Where they would really need to wait up for recovery or would remain in loss forever if the coin wont really make any progress.
If the price drops below the ICO price then that's not the problem and it only means that many are dumping that token already.

These investors are late in selling so there's no need to cry if the price of that ICO token drops from their price before. If you are an investor, you should be checking any update from that ICO so if its dumping time, you can ride on it.

How long it takes to make a profit depends, above all, on the authenticity of the project! Because a lot of ICO's are frauds. The second condition is the technical progress of the project. The third is whether the promotion of the project is extensive. Generally speaking, if a project is real, it will be profitable in about three months at most!

How long does it take for an ICO to be profitable?

No one knows for sure as it depends on the team behind the ICO if they will be active or not and of they are following their road map so as to fulfill their promise. If you are looking for quick profit in an ICO then you should find one that is hype because most likely that ICO will be in demand when it is listed in exchanges. When they have bounty campaign and you check the participants of the campaign and many are high rank members and then there are many members of the community then most likely you will see a profit upon listing but if the ICO is not that famous then it might not be that profitable upon listing but if the team keeps the development then eventually you can see profit maybe in a few weeks or months.

Not all ICOs are the same , there is some ICOs I bought in and my tokens was x10 the moment it hit exchange and there is some was x5 and some -50% and some even -90% , I am still hodl one of my ICO which right now only 10% of it original price , bottom line there is no rule or strategy to predict that .

That's right. No one can predict for sure what will happen to the price once it hit the exchanges so better have a plan beforehand so that you will know what to do wherever the price will go. The important thing here is you shouldn't invest in an ICO if you can't afford to lose it or wait for the time you will have profits from it whenever it may be.
predicting ICO is very difficult sometimes projects that have been given extension schedule because the sale does not arrive at hartcap must be extended. but patience in investing is the second capital after our fund

Theres no specific time on where your investment on ICO would be profitable since not all the time where coins do hit exchangers do guaranteed it would hit up higher than the ICO price since there are cases where it do drops lesser than on the sale which would end up for its investors to be on loss and would wait up for the price to recover. As an investor you should really not expect anytime to profit and this is always part of the risk.

as long as the project is still running with its roadmap. if the project goes according to its roadmap and roadmap for years then the coin will continue to be profitable. or a month or two weeks after ico can also be called a profit if many people want that coin.

in the bull market it usually takes few days or some times hours when the token hit the exchanges it price usually go up almost all of the time But lately in this bear market most of tokens after ico when listed on exchange their price dropped drastically for example faceter listed today on hitbtc and trading at 1/4 of ico price. So if you believe in the project i would suggest hold on to it for couple of months and let the market recover.

the coins will usually drop and not pumped whenever it gets listed on any online exchange , it is because bounty hunters will sell immediately whatever they hold but we shouldnt get discourage seeing the price is going down , instead we can still use this advantage to buy more coins on that exchange to be able to afford it in a cheaper price because there is still a possibility that the coins can pumped again in the future.

no time is certain, indeed we can see or know the roadmap and its plans, but it is not a guarantee.
once the distribution is done and after the token is listed on exchange, that's the time to get a profit from ico.

note: token price in market equal to ico price or reach our selling price target.

Profitable you mean value on the market or their token price increase? ICO project's token can have fast value as long as the target day they reach their soft cap they will start submitting application on some exchange for it to be listed likely 2 months is the most shortest date you can gain a token to have a real value on the market, 6 months is also considerable but more than that--- I'm not sure.

The faster they buy the tokens and take it ro hardacp the faster the successfulness of the ICO.

It depends on when you sell and the time for profit making is different for several interest group. For the bounty hunters, the day they have the opportunity to sell their coins or tokens, that will be the day they make their profit this is also applicable to those who bought mainly to be sold on first opening in the market. But for holders long term, it worth it the project funded is viable enough to distribute profit for holders of their stakes which is depending on how profitable the project is.

In this bearish market, many ICOs are listed at a price lower than their price during token sale. But it doesn't mean that the price may not soar later, you have to watch out on this indicators; what pain is the token really solving, how strong is the community backing it up,  how does their roadmap look like (will there be news, FA) that may spike the price, partnerships, exchanges where the token is listed too,? All these matter.
Some tokens are best sold immediately when they are listed or at least take off your capital and some profits and leave some tokens for the future. Who knows you might be holding another Bitcoin or Ethereum.

If you are sure that the project is a very good one and has the strength to retain its stability and potentials of yielding more profit if you hold on a long term, it can be profitable if you decide to hold it on long term depending on the amount but if it doesn't look promising to you, it is better to sell and then reinvest in another project or better still buy altcoin.

It depends on your profits range but most of the projects will fail in the long term hold so it is better to sell them even if you made little profits in short term. But if you think it is a good potential project then keep hold them for years because the prices may go to moon.
