When I stepped into this thread out of curiosity and saw that OP was already banned, I thought, wow, now that escalated quickly.

I don't think he read anything. I personally asked him to add the source to his topic, but he never did. The result is obvious.

A mystery to me, why he didn't see the yellow penalty card and acted upon accordingly. Another mystery is why newbies seem to have a hard time to find, read and digest the forum rules before they even post for the first time. I mean, if you register your account, your're not obliged to post immediately. Your account won't expire, you've all the time to wander around, read the sticky posts, go from those to usually linked helping or informative posts and so on.
Exactly, the something is just as simple as ABC,your new to a space and the first thing to do is to read the rules governing the space before any other thing.Like this forum to be precise one of the must respected rule is "plagiarism" so newbies who are new to this space need to put this rule at the tip of their fingers. Some newbies depend on who introduced them to this forum which is wrong there is a statement that says "Fight your own demons" you don't expect the person who introduced you to this space to always tell you what to do,as a newbie you just have to abide to the rules, learn more on quality post about Bitcoin, make research, watch/download online tutorial videos on bitcoin and make contributions with these the forum looks pleasant to all the newbies including me.

You are welcome to the forum. Do not be in a hurry to start making posts to earn merits and upgrade. Take some time off and try to familiarise yourself with the forum. For now, you should stick to the beginners and help board and the meta board. These two boards have all the information you need to know as a beginner. Most importantly you should take the pinned posts seriously for they contain very vital information you wouldn't want to ignore. As you already know, this forum has strict rules, do yourself the favour of going through those rules so you will be saving yourself from possible outright ban from the forum. Be open to learning and you will not regret being here. Welcome once again to the forum!

The author of this topic will no longer answer. Above is my post about it.

After you announced that OP has been banned, some posters sadly seem to have not done any reading of this thread's recent posts when they address the OP as if nothing had happened. Well, they have their reasons, I guess.

Moral of this: pay more attention to forum's rules; pay more attention to what has recently been posted in a thread before you post yourself or your contribution may look very sloppy.

You can forget about this user as he has already been banned for plagiarism.

At least we now know he was a genuine newbie that was seeking for guidance, I wish he got one or probably he receive them but didn't bother to go through the guidance.

@OP, many will appreciate it if you're going to give some reply and feedback to all of those who have suggested things to you.

Because after you've made this thread, you didn't reply but you've posted into other topics. It seems that you've ignored this thread after you've asked for that help you need.

That's one help that you have to remember, if you're into discussions and you've started it. You should get back at it and reply for those suggestions or posts you think or want to reply.

Newbies may not understand this forum very easily, the more time you spend, the more you will be able to understand about this forum. As a learner I also want to spend time here and learn but due to work reasons it is not possible for me to spare more time. I try to spend as much time as I can between work and learn more about this forum.

One of the forum rules includes to steal. Just as stealing is a crime punishable by law by every country's government, stealing in this forum is a serious crime that can lead to many ID bans.

-snip-

In order not to remain a newbie on this forum (banned newbie) forever, first of all study the forum rules. I found two violations of the rules in your posts, one of them is plagiarism. If this continues, I'm afraid it will end in a ban.
Do your own diligence to study the forum and how it works, it takes time but it’s certainly worth all the time and efforts to read. This is the best way so you won’t stay as a newbie, and so that you will be aware of the forum rules and avoid all those violations that may put your account into danger and complete banning.

Now, be aware that plagiarism is a big violation in the forum. If you have skipped it at first, I guess by now your account is already being monitored. Be careful not to break rules the next time you post in the forum, otherwise your stay here might be shortened and I don’t want you to experience like that.

You can forget about this user as he has already been banned for plagiarism.

before you ask it seems you should check out the useful links on this forum. You can even see directly on the beginner's board that there are guides that you might need. it's not difficult to be on this forum and operate according to the rules. You just need to read carefully and carefully what you can and cannot do. You have to start independently and don't depend on other people.

Maybe lately we have begin to see the kind of newbies set who are too lazy in taking their time to read, someone does not have to be compulsory told what to do or need to be done only if they can open their eyes and read in the first place, reading habit is what many people lack, because all they would have wanted to ask have already been made provisioned somewhere in which they only requires time and reading efforts to discover them.

I don't know how you explore this forum but all you need is already on the sticky threads.

You can start reading this one below for newbies.

Another thing you need to avoid is plagiarism and don't make any AI generated post you will be ban if you do.
The forum is very organized and self explanatory, I don't think that there's any hindrances for any newbie to be worried about, because every board has it's sticky threads to guide anybody that's willing to learn. As usual some helpful threads and links have been shared for the OP, I hope that he/she utilizes them, inorder not to fault the forum rules. This is the best place for newbies to learn about Bitcoin and altcoins, increase their knowledge and engage in discussions with quality posts.

Hi OP, I still don't understand what you are trying to get here. If you just want to know more about this forum, how it works and how this forum works, it's better to often read and understand the topics posted on the beginners & help board first. especially on the topic Newbies - Read before posting.

After that, try to explain in more detail what you want to get by joining here. That way we can explain in more detail and can provide references as you need. I think it's better than asking directly like that which will only make this topic drift away without meaning and without the deeper emphasis you want to get.

As a beginner, I suggest you to read topics in Bitcoin Discussion, Speculation, and Beginner & Help, boards. Those boards have enough information for newbie users to understand basic details about Bitcoin. If you want to learn about this forum as well, then you may also try to read Meta board. It takes sometime but if you continue reading the important threads in those boards then you'll surely learn basic things about the forum and about Bitcoin within few days.

I'm assuming OP is also a Bitcoin newbie. In which case, I don't think he/she has business in the Speculation board. It might only make him/her focus more on the price, its movement, and the faulty predictions that come along with them. I don't think the speculation board would make him/her understand the basic details about Bitcoin.

Sometimes, I think the forum is not really for Bitcoin newbies. Most of the discussions here are already focused on particular aspects and developments of Bitcoin. We discuss what's timely, what's currently controversial, what's hot, and the like. The Bitcoin whitepaper isn't even pinned on the Bitcoin discussion section nor on Beginners & Help. It's quite awkward actually that the first pinned post on this section is about "how to earn Bitcoins".

First you don't expect the one that introduced the forum to you to give you all the rules and regulations that guides forum activities, and for that you can blame the one that brought you for not giving you all the rules.

Is your responsibility to build up yourself in any space you fine yourself and the most easy way to do that is by allocating a good amount of time to read through all the needed threads that talks about forum rules both the written and unwritten ones.

I don't know the ties between you and the person that refer you here, but I must say this that he did not try for you and wouldn't have taken the first step than doing such and not telling you on what next to do
I don’t know what the conversation must have been about that led to “someone” introducing the OP to the forum but if OP was able to start a topic on the right board for beginners, he should be able to see the pinned threads. They are hard to miss and I don’t really get the point of these introductory threads, the replies you are going to get are links and advices that you would find in the pinned threads.

So many advices and links have been given to you OP. I hope you come back to read the replies on this topic. So far, you have made a couple of mistakes and the mods have given you a second chance. Don’t waste it.

Welcome to the forum , dude. We all try our best to avoid being kicked out for failing the rules here and as such try to abide by them and I think another way to remain here just as the others have supplied is to be conversant with the rules here. Plagiarism is heavily frowned upon and as such you don't want to be caught doing that so when you make posts that's not your work, try to give links to help others get an insight to what you are talking about and also help them know your work was copied.
It was good of your friend to introduce you to this place as if your aim is to know more about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, here is a good place to start.

@Op, in simple words plagerism means copying other people's work without their consent and passing same as yours without references. So, don't copy anyone and if you do, put in quotes.

You are welcome to the Bitcoin forum and just like you have explained yourself, education is very important and even though the person that invited you here never informed you how to go about it, I believe you can read very well and make enquire on your own.
The problem many of us are still facing in life is because we are not ready to do things on our own, we might be looking for people that would spoon feed you but you need to understand that the era has gone and we are in the jet world.

@oguprice, here are all the help and guidance you need. If you pay full attention by reading all this three topics, you will know all the necessary things about the forum. Also, if you don't want to land your self in trouble on this forum, I advise you never to use AI to make post on this forum, never involve yourself with plagiarism too.

Greetings everyone, I'm new in this forum someone introduced me and he didn't give me guidelines on how this forum works the rules and regulations,
Aside the many links that have been sent in the comments, I want you to go back to the user who introduced you to the forum and have a conversation because the way I see it, it is just as of the user wants to throw you under the bus. Well if the user don't then, thoroughly read through the links provided and refer back to this forum to ask your questions.

The important thing is for you to create out time to read things over here there are lots of useful resources that you can keep reading and every section section for the forum has their rules and regulations where you need to learn how to post in that section, they are always pinned on the first top page. To crown it all, the beginner & Help board explain it all you can develop your time to gradually read questions other have asked as a beginner because I know you have a lot of things on your mind to keep asking and instead of you to go repeat same question it would be better you gradually dig out those post to understand them more better. Anyway, Welcome to Bitcointalk.org.
