Does anyone else think it strange price is remaining so calm with all that's happening economically and halving only in a few days? Bodes well I think.

this is not strange at all.

it is the calm before the storm. there is a lot of accumulation going on. and soon all these whales who have been buying at the stable price will pump it to the moon.

I think something big is coming after this silence of this almost 1 week. I am quite worried as we could also see a big dump with all panic bag holder after not seeing enough pump in price before halving.
We should just be ready for what happens. Right now, the price is consolidating at the mid to high $600 and I hope it stays that way even after the halving. But still, I am also not discounting the possibility of a steep drop or a price surge.

there is nothing strange. it is the nature of bitcoin. nobody can predict what will happen to bitcoin price today or tomorrow. anybody who says his prediction is truth, is just lying. so we cannot say why the price is so calm.

Remember all the panic buying before the halving that we were promised? This is it Sad

You had the the big FOMO pump.....big fast profits to be made for anyone who knew when to get on, and when to get off.

Now I suspect a big panic dump, but in true Bitcoin style, not before a wicked head fake break out.

Imagine. The graph went from 12 to 250, last time

now it could go from 650 to roughly 13000 ... Yay!  Shocked

No one knows.  Wink

No, I don't think it is strange that the price is remaining so calm, at least in regards to the halving. Just as the last halving, the effects of the decreased rate of new bitcoins entering the system won't be realized until sometime after the actual halving.

i doubt that it is strange, we might expect stable prices for like two weeks from now, i think that there is nothing to worry about as then there will be a big pump pretty soon

Another way to look at it is its in most people's interest for it to go up,  there's no better coins out there and i think bitcoin so far is proof enough that cryptocurrency is here to stay.

The last halfing was at when?  On the 28th of november 2012 when the price on the day of halving was $12.25 which wasnt the all time high up untill that point. It wasnt until about the 20th of febuary 2013 that we started to get a price increase and then 10th of april 2013 it reached its ATH of the time at around $180, You all know where it went from that point.

My point being, just because nothing happens before the halving or even for a while after, it doesnt mean we arent going to see an explosion in price.

See I don't find it strange, because I always said the halving was priced in.  Of course, I said that when we were at $430.

Halving is 7/18, am I correct?

Its in 3 days if im correct, well if the calculator is correct . 9th of july.

I noticed the other calculator says 18th though so i dunno.
Change of difficulty is on 18th, thats what it is.

The price exploded so damn hard after the last halving. I think the market will not react until a couple days after, then the idiots that still don't own any bitcoin will realize what a mistake that is and will start buying everywhere.

nothing strange here and calm movement is more better than the prices going down but i think no need to worry about this situations because after halving might be prices will increase with very fast
We dont know if the price will increase after block halving or it will not happen.. Bitcoin is unpredictable and the price of bitcoin will still relay in demand and supply..

Yes, it is too calm even if trading is taking place.
Not sure about what will happen and the latest weekends have been very frenzy in terms of price movements.
The halving happens on a weekend.

Hold till you can.
