cointelegraph article says the exchange owes more than $16 million to its customers, according to CBC news.  unregistered exchange i guess has to be  seized by the government before it will eventually disappear, we've seen it happen over and over about scams. There was an exchange in Canada as well where the news says CEO died, its still going to leave doubts to people that its an exit scam.

Do you mean QuadrigaCX here? Latest news in that mysterious death -

Too bad for the widow if Cotten really was dead.

The truth about Einstein's exchange will somehow be exposed later on.
If in case this is an exit scam, then, they are happy to have that amount of money. Not so greed?

With $ 12.1 million in cash, is it really that big, is the Einstein exchange not responsible for all this? What about the customer's crypto assets? It's ironic that there are more exchanges like this.

The Canadian crypto currency exchange Einstein has shut down recently, and apparently ran off with $12.1 million of it's customer's money.  On October 31st the exchange's lawyer contacted the British Columbia Securities Commission to inform them the exchange would be shutting down in 30 to 60 days.  On November 1st the BCSC asked the exchange's law firm for information pertaining to where and how their customer's crypto was being held.  Two hours later the law firm informed the BCSC that they no longer represent the exchange.  The BCSC hasn't been able to contact any representative of the exchange.

It's already confirmed that they are shutting down but since this is within Canada's jurisdiction they should do all within their powers to prosecute these people operating this exchange, they should ask for immigration to issue a hold departure order pending the solution of the issue, this is a bad precedent for a country which has a good potential for Crypto holders.
