Actually i tried updating the OS on my USB and guess what, the damn thing broke down and is now saying "kernel panic" when i try to boot from it.

Suffice to say that i now dont recommend anyone trying to store any signifigant amount of BTC on a product called "ninjastik", as it seems to be pretty unstable. The concept is nice, but a concept alone is not enough.

Glad i didnt lose my coins.

You can convert a mini private key into WIF format (begins with 5,L or K) using the wallet details tab on bitaddress.org. You can download that site and run it offline. All the site's contents are in one html page.

BTW I recommend upgrading to electrum 1.9.8.

Did you check if you use the right port?
I had to change the port from 9050 to 9150.
Just look it up in your Tor Browser (network settings).

I have my electrum on a ninjastik usb for security purposes, but it does not connect to any servers at all. Does anyone know why that is? I found this topic but no replies
