@Angie1 Just read the post right above you, TrustedCoin had charged you 0.00200000BTC for the next 20 Transactions that you will make after that (screenshot) transaction.

https://i.imgur.com/F5JELlT.png
0.0001/tx x 20 = 0.002BTC

Next time, F2A will not charge its service fee to your (next 19) transactions.

Ah, now I see... good to know  Sad  (my newbie mistake)  thank you.

I must mention that I was pleasantly surprised today afternoon when I received a email with answer from the TrustedCoin
team (2FA autentification for Electrum wallet) regardless it's sunday. They were very polite and detailed in explaining why
they must charge in batches of 20 transactions and they provide instructions how to avoid paying the Trusted coin fee
(by restoring wallet).

In these insecure crypto times it is such a relief when you know that you use a service that is legitimate and ready to help customers so promptly ( especially since at first I was thought I was hacked   Grin )

I saw they also have a wallet on their internet site Trustedcoin ... its very interesting it says:

even if you have a keylogger running on your machine, no one can steal your coins without giving you 24 hours to reverse.

did someone use it?  Any reviews?

Hi,

I have the same problem, as I see I should be charged 0,0001 per 2FA autentification (transaction)

https://imgur.com/a/nAt7Y

and I lost 0,002 BTC with this transaction to Binance:

(the second one is the adress I input, the first one is unknowing address)

Anbody of you with the same problem try to contact Electrum developers?

5mbtc seems like way too much to be a 2fa fee. This has actually happened to me too and I have no idea what happened to my coin either. The smaller amount of the 2 outputs from my electrum wallet went to Coinbase as I had wanted, but the main amount, .02 mbtc did not go to Coinbase. I went to some other wallet. And it is also not in my change addresses or showing up in my synced Electrum wallet balance. And the transaction is showing up on the blockchain and it does show the 2fa fees, but it is a much smaller amount.
5 mBTC is the 2FA prepay fee for 100 credits... Each transaction takes 1 credit, so if you prepay for 100 transactions it effectively makes the fee 0.00005 BTC per 2FA transaction... the other option is 2 mBTC for 20 credits... which works out at 0.0001 BTC per 2FA transaction.

You can see the fees here: https://api.trustedcoin.com/#/electrum-help

If you click the blue shield in the bottom right corner, you'll see the fees and also how many 2FA credits you have remaining:

they should warn use about the cost of useing that fml.
They do... they have a big giant page telling you all about 2FA when you create the wallet:
https://i.imgur.com/LI20uIf.png

It mentions fees and that you can check the costs after setup... if you click the little blue shield, you can see the payment options... It also mentions you can get your coins out at no cost by restoring from your seed and disabling 2fa functionality

hey buwaytrees, thx for your fast reply.
as you can see in the picture above i got 0 balanc, also i checkd the address and there is no blance either that i can find.

i gues i lost my 5mbtc cause i cant find out where it went tbh.

regards,

drajion.

Hmm... I'm not sure how that's possible. When you made the spend, it was only to a single address? As far as I know with Electrum, the only way to have more than 1 output that doesn't come back into your wallet addresses is via "pay to many", but even so, you'd have to have been exact with your input and output... maybe someone with more experience will know better.

Also, just realised the outputs are p2pkh addresses (1xxx), so I guess this can't be a change address either, unless I also didn't know they could co-exist in the same wallet?

Just to find out more, could you also now show the Addresses tab with Receiving + All?

Hi there. I don't think you lost anything at all. This looks a lot like you sent 0.74561 mBTC to Bittrex (I'm assuming the Bittrex deposit address is the first output listed in your window). Also, 0.86132 mBTC was used as fees.

The second output is most likely your change address, so your 5mBTC is still with you. This is probably because your Electrum's default setting is to use change addresses, meaning, balance of your input is sent to a different address, but still within your wallet (it's a privacy feature). To confirm this, you can look at the bottom left corner of Electrum while synced (Green button on bottom right), it will show your actual balance.

If you look at your Addresses Tab, you will even see that change address with the 5 mBTC balance.

To prevent this from happening in future, you can go to Tools>Preferences> Transactions and uncheck the "Use change addresses" box.
