Saw your post in the Armory forum... Where the app didn't have permission to create the log file... That would seem to confirm my suspicions that it might be a permissions issue.

Right click to Electrum icon and select "Run as Administrator"... See if that solves the problem.

I use windows. Instaled Electrum client but the main window never opens. I get to choose a password and that's it. If i open the file it then asks for the password, i type it and it never opens. I have tried uninstalling a lot of times. I created other wallet and it didnt work. Please.

I can clearly see from your comments above that you are unable to even create a new wallet that will open or work at all.  That being the case you can forget about your specific wallet for now and strictly concentrate on your general Electrum install.  I don't use Windows for crypto so my suggestion comes from reading and learning while listening to others.  I might add that Electrum and Linux is amazing.  If you are unable to get your installed version of Electrum working you might consider trying the portable version just to check if things are working on your machine.  In Electrum portable you don't actually install the software and can run it from your desktop, or wherever.  If you download it from the actual Electrum site and verify you have the actual software its just as safe as the normal installed version.  To me Electrum portable seems like a place to start and verify your machine and even your wallet once Electrum mounts in "portable mode".

Did you run the installer as administrator?
Did you try running the app as administrator?
Possibly an overly aggressive antivirus?

Also, does your windows username use "special" characters at all? i vaguely remember some users having troubles because their username had non latin characters like Å or Ç or chinese characters etc...

Otherwise, I don't have any other wallets to recommend... Electrum is the best lightweight wallet imho.

I did what you told me HCP. Same happened. Tried everything. Got any recommendation for another high-security lightweight client? Thanks both for you help anyways.

What version are you using? Are you using the right wallet on your desktop/laptop? Do you have those seeds or private key? I think there is just something wrong with your password. Because when you created another wallet and you have the right password that will have no problem at all. Have you ever tried to check the if some of your characters are on caps or not?

Which version of Electrum did you download? And where did you download it from?

It is weird that it will start up and get as fair as asking for your password, but then the wallet doesn't open... It might be that you have some corrupt data in the Electrum data directory.

Have a look in: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Electrum

If you have you 12 word seed mnemonic, you can simply delete everything in that folder, uninstall Electrum and then try reinstalling and creating the wallet again. If you don't have the 12 word seed mnemonic for you wallet, then backup the "wallets" folder, then delete everything, uninstall and reinstall Electrum.

(NOTE: If you can't see the AppData directory, you need to show all the hidden folders: https://support.microsoft.com/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files)
