Binance altcoin is not even an Bitcoin fork, so there is really zero chance electrum would support it...

Additionally AFAIK Binance is only token built on ETH network.

There are forked electrum for almost all forks. But they do not hold any relationship with Electrum.org team, neither electrum cash.

My initial thoughts was maybe there was an Electrum fork for Binance smart chain as well, so I did quick research to find it. Funnily enough, no such thing exists. Not sure where OP found the fact/rumour that Electrum was going to support BSC lol.

I think OP regularly use Electrum wallet and hope he could use wallet (at least from UI side)  he already familiar with.

You will have to use Trust Wallet. It is owned by Binance so it is probably the best wallet to use for BSC.
Keep in mind that Trust wallet is not really 100% open source which makes it one of the worst wallets that anyone can use. Choose this wallet only if you have no other option to use for this particular altcoin.

Electrum does not support any altcoins. You will have to use Trust Wallet. It is owned by Binance so it is probably the best wallet to use for BSC. If you're looking for a desktop wallet there is an extension called Binance Chain Extension Wallet or you can configure Metamask to work with Binance Smart Chain since it is EVM-compatible.

Horrible if original Electrum would start supporting random shitcoins.  Undecided

There is a seperate version (fork) for Bcash called "Electron Cash" but original Electrum is for Bitcoin.

I don't know for BSC, maybe Exodus is an option but it's closed source and fees can't be modified.

For example, if you google Electrum Diamond, Electrum Bitcore, etc you will find electrum for all those forks (i will not share their website because I don't know iff they are safe to use). But none of them were credited to the same team from Electrum.org

No.  Electrum is a purely a light-client bitcoin wallet.  It supports the bitcoin blockchain and the Lightning Network only.
