The improvements mentioned in the release of Electrum 4.4.5 are only for Jade. Hopefully, this also applies to Trezor, as I experienced before.
this bug is related to trezor bridge and not electrum @pingec report it on Github https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues/6684
Accordingly I guess this randomly fails https://forum.trezor.io/t/sign-transaction-error-session-not-found-aug-29-2021-12-28/2463/3
installing a newer version will not solve the problem because it happens randomly. I think if you go back to version 4.4.4, it might work.

it is not Electrum's problem and there is a discussion about it here https://github.com/trezor/trezord-go/issues/247

I tried to transact by sending Bitcoin using Electrum 4.4.5, connected to Trezor T. This time, the transaction signing process was successful, unlike when using version 4.4.4.

Trezor or Electrum could be the cause of failure when signing transactions in Electrum 4.4.4;
What is clear, signing transactions using Trezor T is back to normal when using Electrum version 4.4.5 with the improvements as quoted by the OP; meanwhile, Trezor T has not yet received the latest firmware update.

But he says he had that very problem with the version you are suggesting. He installed 4.4.3 and things were OK. Perhaps you made a mistake in your suggestion?
As I mentioned, the error is not related to the Electrum, whatever version she was using, there will be no difference.
The error happens randomly, I said that even if she used version 4.4.3, it might work because it is not linked to the wallet.

Was this reported as bug?
If you want a faster solution maybe you should write about that on their github page.
I don't like many recent changed Electrum is making, but Sparrow wallet is always there as good alternative with hardware wallet support.

 * Hardware wallets:
   - jade: fix regression in sign_transaction (#8463)
 -snip-

On Electrum 4.4.4, I had a problem signing a transaction using Trezor T. At first, I thought the problem was with the cable, but when I tried it on Electrum 4.4.3, the transaction signed normally.
