I am going to be sending 0.0069 bitcoin from my electrum wallet to dnm to place an order and was wondering if anybody would know what fee im going to be paying? i cant seem to work it out for the life of me but want to before i start sending as might not have enough for the actual product.
Electrum does not subtract the fee from the amount you are sending... it ADDS the fee. So, if you need to send 0.0069 BTC, you enter 0.0069 in the "Amount" box and any transaction fee that you enter (or select with the slider) will be added to that amount and then the total of "Amount+Fee" will be subtracted from your wallet balance when the transaction is broadcast.

If you don't have enough wallet balance to cover both the entered amount AND the fee selected... Electrum will give you an "insufficient funds" warning.

go to tools > preferences > fees tab and enable edit fees manually. then you'll see the fee calculation on the send tab.

alternatively click on preview on the send tab and the window that shows up should list the fee up top.

I think if you are using the latest electrum you can see automatically the fee like the above said just slide it to the right for faster transaction then slide left for normal or slower transaction then right of the slider you can see the automatic fee(its calculated if you put the amount of btc you want to send).

Only older version of electrum not showing a calculated fee.
If you are using segwit address on electrum I think you don't need to be worry because you will pay a small fee than a legacy addresses.

We can't know unless we know the type of address you're sending it from, the number of inputs you're sending it from, current fees etc.

If you're using a recent version, fill in the fields at the sending tab accordingly. Press preview and you should be able to see the fees that is used for your transaction. You can use the slider at the sending page to adjust. If you're satisfied with it, press sign and then broadcast.
