thanks, but I think I got it.  I finally thought to reboot the PC and synchronized fine.    thanks for the input.

My electrum ewallet is stuck in synchronizing mode and never connects to a server.  Anyone out there that might be able to help me figure out what is wrong and what I can do to fix it?

It can take quite a bit of time to synchronize the first time. I'd first recommend you ensure you are running the latest version, which is 2.7.18 at the current time.

You can click the ball in the lower right corner ( or click Tools -> Network ) and try selecting another server manually if the automatic detection isn't getting you connected to a server properly.
