Hello guys I'm here again.. I've got another question.

How can I acquire BCC from my electrum wallet? Can you please elaborate the steps?

Err... That's a more difficult story.
There is no one way to do this and, as I see it, there is no 100% safe way. There is electron cash you might want to try. There's also a list of several clients that will accept bitcoin cash (although I'm not entirely sure what it is).

Edit: this is the link to a list of compatible wallets https://www.bitcoincash.org
You'll have to import your private keys/seed in the same way as you do in electrum into the desired wallet.

I tried to visit electron.

Why is it like that?

That's from your internet provider.
In fact, I think the new version of electric itself should be sufficient to handle the fork (can someone correct me if I'm wrong here though)?
I'll test it once I get my coins back.

It's fixed now thanks jackg for your kind help.

Yes you can restore your wallet from any PC, many times with your seed. However you must not lose your seed. Make at least two copies of it, just to be safe. A text file is okay, but it can be corrupted, in which case your coins will be lost. Print a copy of the file or save it to cloud, disguise the text in a way that only you will know what the words are.

Savings seeds in the text and save it in the safe place like in drive d if you laptop or pc are crash you can be still recover the text file in drive d using enclosure or reformat again your pc or laptop just don't delete your drive d.  you are much safier if you save your bitcoin in trezor  immune to viruses and and keylogger but for temporary saving seeds in text file will be still safe..

I guess want to try out if that is for real let him try if he wanted to do so. But for testing phase only, but HCP is right make sure that the PC you will be using as testing for trying to restore your wallet shouldnt be affected by some malware or anything the same. Just use it to your other laptop if you have.

Is seed can be used to restore bitcoin from my electrum wallet even I will use other's PC?
Just as a side note, you shouldn't restore your wallet on someone else's PC. You have no idea if their PC is infected with malware or keyloggers and even if you delete the wallet file afterwards, there is a chance they could recover it using data recovery programs.

Restore should only be used when you actually need to restore your wallet because you've got a new PC or your hard drive died etc... You should never use it to setup a copy of your wallet so you can access your coins when you're away from home etc.

If you need access to some of your funds while you are away from home, you should consider getting a hardware wallet like a trezor or a ledger nano-s or possibly keeping a small amount of coins in a wallet on your mobile or something.

The seed is sufficient to recover all the addresses generated from it. It can also be used to recover the master private key. You are safe.

Hi, electrum newbie here. I want to make sure that my bitcoins are safe and I was using an exchange to keep my bitcoins but with this upcoming August 1 I wanted to be safe. I downloaded electrum and did tried a transaction a it was already on my electrum wallet. I have written on a text file, the master public key, private key and the seed. Anything that I forgot to do? I want to send my bitcoins now to my electrum wallet.

Is seed can be used to restore bitcoin from my electrum wallet even I will use other's PC?

EDIT: I have another question, how I can get BCC on my electrum wallet?
