You're screwed without the private key...
To be able to transfer your bitcoins to another address, you will need your private key. You cannot do much of anything with a public key besides receive and view the amount of bitcoins you have (which is important, just not in this case). So unless you find your private key you cannot spend your bitcoins. So as far as I know, sorry.
So I created an offline wallet on a usb stick. I moved funds to the wallet. I then accidently formatted the usb stick, with no backup made yet. I ran a recovery tool and it recovered 217 folders worth of encrypted data from the stick. I was able to find the master public key and could build a seedless wallet from that. The funds match what I previously had. Is it possible to create a transaction with this wallet, then sign and broadcast it with another wallet? I have attempted to do this and it gets rejected every time. Can the seedless wallet only be signed with the wallet it was created from or is what I described above possible.
