Apologies for continuing this titled thread, the original thread is locked and started by IAmNotThe1.

In regards to my question in that thread.

Trusted servers, are these lists such as, https://1209k.com/bitcoin-eye/ele.php, trust worthy and is there another way to verify their legitimacy?

And thanks to TryNinja for responding to my question on the previous thread.

No, the list of servers is just that, a list of servers....
This list does not only list trusted servers, it lists all servers users have submitted to the list.

What do you define as 'trustworthy' ?

Each operator of an electrum server can decide what he wants to do (in terms of logging, relaying tx's, blocking tx's, .. ).

No server can steal any sensitive information from you (private keys, etc.. ).

If your electrum version is 3.3.3+ (which it should be), you don't have to fear the cheap phishing attempt showing a message to download malware.
As long as your transactions 'are working', the server you are using is fine to use.

There are no trusted servers. In the electrum model you're not supposed to trust servers anyway. The phishing message was just a message. If you ignored it nothing bad happened. If you're using 3.3.4 the server can't display phishing messages either so even that is no longer a problem.
